an acetate overlay & a sketch

Tonight at 10 pm is the ATS March stamp release…don’t miss it!  I still have this headache & cold so I didn’t get another sample made with my new set like I wanted to.  This cold has hung on long enough…time to move on!

I do have a clean & simple card to share though, that I made a few days ago.  It is a quick one…no coloring.  But I liked the end result, so I also made a sketch if you would like to try it too!

Here’s my card…

As I pulled out these SU! in-color papers, I realized that I really haven’t used them much yet.  There’s NO stamping on the paper here.  The words and flowers are stamped on a piece of acetate which was cut just a tad smaller than the cardfront for an overlay.

And there’s no need to worry about your adhesive showing through the acetate.  It is only attached by the two brads that were inserted in the middle!

Here’s my sketch if you’d like to give it a try….please link back if you do!  (You don’t have to use acetate)

I included the measurements I used to cut the layers in case it would be helpful.  If you wish to use just one color or a single piece of patterned paper, you can start with a piece 3 3/4 x 5 before cutting it up.
