little drummer boy

It’s hard to believe that Christmas is only 4 months away.  I know I said it before, but I’m sooo glad I got a head start on my Christmas cards again this year!  If you want to work ahead too, it’s never too late to start.  I usually play along with the Dirty Dozen & Alumni challenges but my card doesn’t quite fit the theme this month.  It does, however, fit the theme for the August SCS Christmas card challenge.  Either way, I’m happy to have a few more done!

When I saw this month’s Sweet ‘n Sassy set, God Is, it reminded me of The Little Drummer Boy…perfect for a Christmas card!  I simply printed the words from my computer and stamped the boy above.

I used a tracing wheel around the main image and also on the Crumb Cake cardstock.  It’s hard to see, so here’s a close up.

It’s very subtle, but adds a little extra touch.

Hope your weekend is great!  Today is my husband and I’s anniversary.  🙂
