For today’s hop I used the In This Together and With Love Alpha stamp sets. I’ve been in the mood to create with yellow for some reason…not my norm but it’s a happy color! For the first card I created my own background by stamping the teapot with flowers tone on tone, then sponging the same ink over a stencil in desired areas. I then mixed some alpha letters into the sentiment for a bit of whimsy. The flowers were stamped, colored with Copics, and layered on top.

For the second card I decided to add color to the flowers a different way.

I started with a piece of watercolor paper and stamped the flowers with Archival ink. Then I used the corner or edge of small ink spots to swipe a little color in each area. This can be as imperfect as you want!

I spritzed the piece with water and let the colors move and bleed together. Then I used a heat tool to dry it. After dry, I smooshed some of the same inks onto an acrylic block and came back with a water brush to pick up the color and add a little to the image. This is just a different, fun way to add color.

Have a great day and thanks for hopping!
