chocolate cake or chocolate frosting?

I have a card to share in the hop today using the new Make A Wish, Bold Birthdays, and Humorous Birthday Innies stamp sets. Aaand…. I used my favorite technique…paper piecing! With this cute cake image, I stamped onto two patterned papers and cut them out to swap so I could get two cards for the price of one. lol. Sooo…what would YOU prefer? Chocolate swirl cake with confetti frosting or confetti cake with a chocolate swirl frosting?

YUM either way!

I diecut a circle in the cardfront and lighter pink layers to create a window, then added my cakes to the inside. The other images were stamped monochromatic so the focus is on the cake. The focus should always be on the cake. 😉

I die cut a scalloped layer for the inside to match the scalloped window on the front and added my sentiment to the bottom left for a fun twist.

Have a great day and thanks for hopping!

  4. Fun papers for your cake cards! Love that sentiment you used inside too!

  5. Lovely window cards with the yummy cakes on the inside. I’d take the confetti cake and give the frosting to my girls as I’m not a chocolate lover.

  6. Chocolate cake or chocolate frosting? I prefer my chocolate cake to have chocolate frosting. lol.. Your cards look delicious.

  8. Beautiful cards! So creative 🙂

  9. The paper piercing on your cards add such a nice touch. I think that slice of cake looks yummy without even being coloured, but now you’ve made it look yummy & real. Your question has me thinking though. I’m such a chocolate loving person, especially dark chocolate, so I think I’d want a dark rich chocolate cake with just a smidge of icing on top. I sure like the way you did the confetti look in the cake.

  10. YUMMY! I love the pinks you used for the papers and cake!

  11. That cake looks delicious!

  12. Well, let me say…I love that window cut-out with the yummy CAKE in the center. So cute and clever. Great new release from Sweet ‘n Sassy and amazing inspiration.
