Spring & Summer catch up

Good morning! The first day of Autumn was earlier this week but I still have some cards I made through Spring & Summer that I haven’t shared. So today is another catch up day!

My first two cards are made with the Spellbinders You’re My Type Card Kit. Love that typewriter die! The background paper here is Melissa Frances- Pink Lady.

The papers on my second one are from My Mind’s Eye- Hello Gorgeous and The Paper Studio- Be Jeweled and Bloom Boutique.

The Mother’s Day card was created with supplies from the SU! April 2019 Paper Pumpkin Kit. (I added a few extras)

Below I used some Melissa Frances Mixed Media Doodles paper and the Simon Says Stamp Circle of Leaves die. I also used the SU! Pansy Punch, Well Written Framelits, and Butterfly Duet punch, along with Martha Stewart frond & hydrangea punches.

Here’s a notecard with the SU! Butterfly Gala stamp set and Butterfly Duet punch. I used Highland Heather and Lemon Lime Twist cardstock, and Botanical Butterfly dsp. (The other color in the butterflies is Grapefruit Grove).

The teapot card used SU! Tea Together stamps and matching dies. The pretty die cut background is a Gina Marie Flourish Open Center BKGD die.

And my last card today also uses Gina Marie dies- Wedding Couple BKGD die and MR & MRS Word die.

And…I’m not finished catching up! Be back soon!

May Paper Pumpkin

The other day I opened my May Paper Pumpkin kit and made a few cards.  I am way, way behind on these kits but I loved that the May kit had a donut theme so I was looking forward to that one!  I made one of each of the 3 cards per the directions in the kit but I also wanted to create some of my own.  Here are the first 3 alternate designs I came up with!

I typed my own sentiments for the cards on my computer to create some fun greetings.  For the smaller donut in the first card, I used 2″ and 3/4″ hole punches.  Then I used the center punch-outs to make a donut hole.  🙂

I also used the Lawn Fawn Donut Worry stamp and die set on this one.

For the second card I traced the outside of the donut card in the kit onto Early Espresso cardstock. The center was diecut. I love the sentiment on this one…

And I think the last one might just be my favorite!

Have a great day!

hello sunshine kit

I had a little free time yesterday so I pulled out the February 2016 Paper Pumpkin kit and worked on it a bit with a friend.  I stayed inside on this cold day and finished mine up today.

Three of the cards were done pretty much per the kit instructions and a few cards I came up with on my own.  A few other cards were copied or inspired by ones I saw done by Charlet Mallett, Dawn Olchefske, and Patty Bennett. I included them in my pics in case you missed their wonderful designs.

I used up most of the supplies and got 17 cards done (yay!) plus I have some leftover banners and sequins to use on future cards.  Here’s the ones I got done the past 2 days…

In the latter part of 2016 I really tried to get some RAKs sent out and I plan to continue that now that the Christmas card time is over.  Thanks to the PP kits, I am off to a good start in getting a few ready to send out.

I am still way behind on my kits and I love when I get a chance to pull one out and create.  Hope you get some crafty time this weekend!

joy to you

Here’s another card I found playing catch-up. This one I made last year using a Paper Pumpkin kit. At the time, I thought the card needed something so I added an image from my Joy To The World stamp set.

bold botanicals

I am seriously behind on my SU! Paper Pumpkin kits….but I recently grabbed the August 2016 kit (Bold Botanicals) and gave it a tweak. Here’s my cards. I only really cared for one of the designs so I changed up the others.

Now to tackle more boxes!  😉

November Paper Pumpkin projects

It has been a while since I got to create with the SU! Paper Pumpkin kits.  Most of my time this year was spent enjoying the preparations of my daughter’s wedding.  (I still need to share those pics too!)  Now that things have settled down, I want to catch up on those little boxes of fun.  And I was thrilled that this month had a kit to help me get moving on my Christmas cards and tags!

I usually like to put my own spin on the projects but this time I mostly followed the instructions… with just a few slight changes.  Then I created some extras with the leftover pieces.  This kit creates 8 Christmas cards plus 12 tags.  I made an extra 9 cards and 9 tags for a total of 17 cards and 21 tags!  🙂

Here’s the card that is in the kit.  The instructions say to add that blue punch-out snowflake to the envelope but I want these to be mailable so I added them to the front of the card instead.

On the inside, I tilted the sentiment panel and added a stamped snowflake.

Since I didn’t add the blue flake to the envelopes, I stamped them.  Much more postal friendly!

These layered tags in the kit are so cute!  I stuck with the plan but added a stamped snowflake to the inside.

When I was finished with the directions there were still PLENTY of leftover pieces so I kept going.  I only had to add some extra cardstock, a few extra rhinestones, etc.

I didn’t throw away the cardstock negatives from the silver and blue punch-out snowflakes.  I cut the blue piece into strips and got 5 cards in this design…

I only made one of this one but I think this might be my favorite.  I can’t believe I STILL have extra Washi tape left…

Here I added some green and brown and got 3 cards of this design.

The leftover piece of silver from the silver snowflakes was cut into squares and I got 7 of these cute tags!

And lastly, I threw together these 2 tiny tags.  The blue flake fit perfectly into the silver negative piece.

I hope these have inspired you to use your leftover pieces to create more fun Paper Pumpkin projects!

my March Paper Pumpkin cards

Yesterday I finally finished up my Paper Pumpkin cards from the March kit.  This was a fun kit to work with…I especially loved the wood sentiments!  Of course I had to put my own spin on it.  ha!

The kit arrived with enough supplies to make 8 cards and I have some extra pieces left over so you may see another card or two from me later on.  I decided that I would come up with 4 designs and make two of each.  I’m not sure if I can pick a favorite but I’m really liking the Noah’s ark and the goose.

And here’s what the kit looked like when it came…

Which card is your favorite?  I’d love to hear!  Check back for more Paper Pumpkin projects!

hey there, friend

I recently decided to give the SU! Paper Pumpkin kits a try.  Last month I received the starter kit and then my first monthly kit arrived this month.  Yesterday I finally got a chance to make the cards from my starter kit.  My plan was to make one card following the SU! instructions and then come up with a few other designs.  I was inspired by some cards I saw around the internet…but I tweaked them to my own liking.

The first card is following the instruction photo, except I added a butterfly and some thread in the button.

I will add a category in my sidebar for Paper Pumpkin projects so you can follow along with what I create if you like.

Have a great evening!
