Lots of Love

Good morning! Today I have some projects with a valentine puppy and kitty from the adorable new Lots of Love stamp set from this month’s release at Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps! First, here’s a card with the puppy. I paper-pieced him a cute sweater and popped a square punched frame around him.

Next I made a Faithdex card with the kitty. Some of our design team gals have been having fun the past few months with these cards which are a spin-off of the Rolodex system.

They can be displayed on a spinner or in a box. Here’s another post from the first one I made with more info. I got this great white box HERE.

Have a great day!

Lots of Love Clear Stamp Set

peace & joy

Hello! It has been a month since I’ve shared some cards and just as long since I’ve done much crafting. Family comes first. Our new granddaughter spent 16 days in the hospital but is home now and slowly improving. I’m also slowly getting back to finding time for stamping but first I’m trying to get caught up on Christmas. It’s less than a week away!

I don’t have any cards to share with the Sweet ‘n Sassy December release but it’s a fabulous one! Be sure to check out the new sets and all the samples the design team has been making with them. I do, however, have a few things that I didn’t share from previous releases. The Poinsettia Greetings stamp set is great and don’t feel intimidated by coloring it. Both of my cards were stamped with no coloring involved so you can make a bunch of these for your holiday cards. Get a start on next year and make a few each month…you’ll be glad you did!

I stamped the large flower twice on patterned papers and heat embossed them with gold e.p. After cutting them out, I popped the middle pink layer with some foam dots and added some tiny gold rhinestones to the center.

I stamped the flower with red ink onto gray cardstock for the second card. The silver metallic layer with diecut “joy” was leftover from a project last year. It made a perfect layer for this card.

My next two projects use the Trust in the Lord stamp set. I kept this card CAS to let the words stand out.

I also made a Faithdex card and added a paper-pieced hedgie from Fur-ever Friends.

I’ll be back with some more catching up. Have a great day!

Faith-dex Psalm 17:8

Hello! I am jumping on the Memorydex bandwagon today. A few years ago I was interested in these cards but never got around to creating one. Back in 2015, Heidi Swapp came out with the punch, some dies, and cards, etc. to fit into her Memorydex box (sort of like a library card system). She also has a spinner type rack (shown here). These are based on the old Rolodex system but with fun, creative cards rather than addresses/phone numbers.

Fast forward to today… some Bible journalers are now creating these cards with faith based inspiration and bible verses on them as a fun, creative reminder to keep on display. The SNSS Creative Worship group is focusing on these a bit this month and have dubbed them “Faith-dex” cards.  So what better time for me to jump in?

Before I get to my card, there have been lots of questions about where to purchase the supplies. Here are some of the supplies I am starting with… Heidi Swapp Memorydex holder and Oval dies, Tabs dies, Everyday Kit, Monthly cards and punch. Some people make their own tray to hold them and others sell them. Just do a search for Memorydex tray.

I used the Sweet ‘n Sassy Singing Praises stamp set and stamped one of the birds onto patterned paper. This was added to a brown die cut card and I added the fringe trim with Scor-tape.

Here’s the Heidi Swapp Memorydex holder. As far as the size of these cards, there seems to be some variance on the height but as long as they are no more than 4″ wide and 3 3/4″ high (for those who use the spinning Memery-dex), then you should be good! You can cut your own cards and punch the holes on the bottom. If you don’t have the Memorydex punch yet, there are tutorials on how to measure and punch with a regular hole punch.

I made a few extras for a swap!

Have a great day!
