Roar!

Good morning! We’re still busy with home projects here but I wanted to pop in and share a card I made for Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps‘ 15th birthday celebration this month. Each week SNSS is having a different sale and this week it’s on the digital products! Today SNSS is also having their Instagram Hop so be sure to check that out as well.

Product links: Lion of JudahJumbled Hexies Stencil, Mini Tag Sentiments, Make A Wish Bundle, Birthday Wordfetti.

I first stenciled the background with light blue and green inks. Then I stamped the Lion and sentiments with black ink onto kraft paper and layered them onto black cardstock. The party hat is a fun addition with pops of color. I then added a few tiny stars and sentiment to the background.

Have a great day!

you make a difference

…you really do! 🙂 Hello! I have a card to share today for the Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps October release. It’s a great release! Here I used the new foliage and sentiment stamp sets to make a masculine fall card.

Product links: Foliage Silhouettes (also available in a Bundle with Dies), Happy Everything Sentiment Strips.

I used a simple layout for this CAS card. After stamping the leaves, the main panel was scored with my Scor-Pal and layered onto a kraft piece, then the poppy red card base. I added a simple linen thread bow and popped up the sentiment.

The leaves are beginning to turn here. I hope you are able to enjoy them as well! Have a great day!

more catch up

I’m sharing a few more cards today from the past 6 months. The first two are Faux Center Step Cards. Instead of cutting the scored card base and popping the center up, a separate strip is folded and adhered to the middle. So easy! First, I used the SU! Honey Bee Bundle.

For the second Faux Center Step card, I used an Altenew Layered Daffodil die set that was a magazine freebie several years ago.

Next is a W-V Fold card. I used some pretty papers shared by a friend and the SU! Nature Prints stamps.

The Tim Holtz Snarky Cat and Snarky Cat Halloween sets were used for the next two cards. This design is the Stack, Cut, & Shuffle technique. It’s great for making a quick set of 4 cards! Just stack 4 pieces of patterned papers and cut them all together. Then shuffle the pieces around and adhere them in place.

I used a clipart coloring page for the cake on this birthday card and reduced the size of it. The dotty background was made with the Taylored Expressions Bokeh Stencils.

This masculine card was made with SU! Snow Front and the Timber embossing folder.

Another masculine card uses the SU! Calling All Heroes set. The tiny words are from SNSS Birthday Wordfetti and the cover plate die is CC Designs Quad Collage Die.

Taylored Expressions has some great stencils…here I used the Mini Slim- In the Garden set. The sentiments are from SNSS Everyday Greetings.

This last card was made for a Christmas in July challenge. I used an old Cuttlebug embossing folder, Christmas Ornaments. The sentiment is from the retired SNSS Wondrous Miracle, and I think the snowflake is an old SU! punch.

Have a great week!

New Horizons

Hello! Back in the spring I made several cards with the beautiful SU! New Horizons papers. I was thrilled to win a pack of these papers… they’re great for making quick & easy cards! Here are the designs I did at that time. I need to make some more soon. 🙂

Stamp sets used: Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps Be Encouraged and Be Encouraged 2; SU! Oceanfront, My Meadow, Let’s Set Sail, High Tide, Waterfront, Snowfront, On The Horizon, and Grassy Grove.

Have a great day!

September catch up

Hello! I still have a bunch of cards from the past 6 months that I haven’t shared, so today will be another catch up day. Sorry for the photo heavy post! I’ll share a few more later.

First is a card made with the Altenew Handpicked Bouquet set. After the florals were stamped in black, I used Gina Marie’s Stitched Rectangles to cut out the center. It was then stamped with colored image layers, added to a piece of black cardstock, and adhered back in place. Altenew has some of the best layered florals!

My second card uses the Altenew Fantasy Floral 3D Die Set and SU! Stitched Greenery Die. This was for a wedding card and made to match the bride’s colors. The sentiment is from SNSS Script Sentiments.

Next is a masculine birthday card with an old, retired SU! set, Antique Autos. The background behind the auto was made with Distress cardstock and inks, Tea Dye & Stormy Sky.

Here, I used Simon Says Stamp Blossom Field embossing folder, MFT Die-Namics Stitched Square Scallop Frames, Spellbinders Be Bold Blooms dies, and Gina Marie Drop Pendant Dies. The sentiment is from SU! Shaded Summer. I also made a Mother’s Day version of this card (sentiment from SU! Timeless Tulips).

The next few cards were made with Hobby Lobby’s Eucalyptus paper by The Paper Studio. On the first card, I punched a circle from the paper and layered a Spellbinders die cut, We Bring Happy Wishes, over the opening. The sentiment is from SU! Celebrate Sunflowers and was die cut with Taylored Expressions Stitched Mini Slim Stacklets. I added a few tiny flowers with an Impression Obsession flower die.

Then I used the same paper with a 6×6 OSW by Mary Knabe to create a set of 4 cards. I used SU! Forever Fern and Shaded Summer stamps with Soft Sky and Lost Lagoon paper, Fern embossing folder, Stitched So Sweetly Dies, and the Butterfly Duet punch.

This sweet note card was cased from my friend, Tina. I used a different paper and sentiment (SNSS Everyday Greetings), but the layout is the same.

A birthday card for someone who loves moose…SU! Merry Moose and Simply Sketched with Crumb Cake and Rich Razzleberry. Background is Evergreen Forest embossing folder.

A set of Mystery Cards with some old Graphic 45 Secret Garden paper. Simply turn a sheet of 12×12 paper over and cut into six 4 x 5 1/4 pieces. Turn them over and adhere to a card base, add sentiments. That’s it!

SU! Positive Thoughts & Simply Sketched for a quick sympathy card…

My last card today uses Sweet ‘n Sassy’s Donut Worry, plus SU! Sweet As a Peach & Timeworn Type embossing folder.

Have a great day!

grunge gears

Hello! Today I am sharing two cards featuring a fun, new stencil from the Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps June release that is great for creating masculine cards and projects.

Product links: Grunge Gears Stencil, Truth Quotes 1, Time Well Spent, Gear Up.

To begin, I made a set of four cards by creating the backgrounds on a full-size sheet of cardstock, 8 1/2″ x 11″. Then I cut it into quarters and layered on a sentiment. Super easy and fun!

First, I randomly inked over the stencil tone-on-tone with kraft colored ink and cardstock.

Then I stamped various images over top in more neutral tones.

Here are the sets I used. After cutting the background into quarters, I die cut each piece before adhering to my card base, but you can skip that step.

I wanted to add a little more color to my second card design, so I pulled out a piece of nice green cardstock and stenciled with a green ink. A few images were stamped in green, and I stamped the pocket watch onto kraft cardstock and layered it on. The sentiment was stamped with black ink.

Have a great day!

stamps- Sweet ‘n Sassy Grunge Gears Stencil, Truth Quotes 1, Time Well Spent, Gear Up; paper- white, SU! Crumb Cake and Certainly Celery, black, kraft; ink- Memento Tuxedo Black, SU! Soft Suede, Crumb Cake, Early Espresso, Old Olive; accessories- MISTIGemini Jr., enamel dots, Gina Marie Slash Stitched Rectangles.

masculine birthday cards

Good morning! I have a few more cards to share using Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps products. Today I have some masculine birthday cards. I used a LOT of products here…

Product links: Masculine Mash-UpShiplap BackgroundBirthday Wordfetti, Make A Wish, Mixed Up Stencil, Starry Night Stencil, Sunburst Layering Stencils, Numbers Dies, Speech Bubbles Dies, Script Sentiments, Spring Blossoms, Inspirational Word Art 2, Gnome-One Like You, and Friendship Is a Blessing.

My first two cards were for nephew’s birthdays. This year I decided to focus on the numbers rather than an image.

I used products from this month’s release for the camping card. “Enjoy” is from the Mixed Up Stencil.

My last card was for a combination Graduation/Birthday/Moving Away party. I thought the speech bubbles would be a fun way to get all of the sentiments onto one card!

Have a great day!

strike up some fun

Hello! Today I’m sharing two cards using products from the Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps May release. Do you know someone who likes to go bowling? Or maybe your kids get invited to bowling birthday parties? Maybe you are just looking to make a fun card? Most of us have bowled at least once in our life and this card would bring back fun memories.

Product links: Masculine Mash-UpShiplap Background, Boss Lady Alpha Dies, Bold Birthdays, Birthday Wordfetti.

I stamped the bowling image on the background of the front of the card, then added a square layer with a popped-up balloon. But…my favorite part is the inside.

I used the Shiplap Background to make the bowling lane and the alpha dies for my sentiment.

I stamped and fussy cut the ball and pins, then added them to a simple pop-up feature. To make the pop-up, I used a 1″ x 4 1/4″ strip and scored it at every inch (1″, 2″, 3″, and 4″). Then simply fold and glue the 1/4″ tab to make a square. Glue one side to the inside bottom, then add adhesive and “close” the top of the card to adhere the pop up to the card front.

I had some diecut letters left over and another fun sentiment in mind, so I made another card. This one is a CAS Mini Slim card so that I could fit all the letters across the bottom. This one is 3 1/2″ x 6 1/4″. The ball and two pins were stamped again and popped-up. I stamped the “you’re” word from the Be Unique set.

Have a great day!

church family

Hello! I’m sharing two more cards for the Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps April release here. For these, I was focusing on the new Church Family stamp set. I received this set at the perfect time, as I was recently asked to make cards for our church’s card ministry. This set will surely get a lot of use!

Product links: Song Birds (also sold in a Bundle with Dies), Church Family (Stamp of The Month), His Wings Bundle (also sold separately), and Grunge Grid Stencil.

For the first card, I kept it CAS. I rounded one corner and stamped the bird image. Then I masked the bird and brushed ink over the stencil. The words were added (I love this sentiment), and I stamped & popped up another wing for a little dimension.

I picked some masculine colors for the second card and brushed the same stencil onto vanilla cardstock. Then I stamped two feathers onto the background and diecut/popped up a third feather. The “missing you” is another sentiment that’s perfect for these cards that I’m making.

I hope you have a blessed Easter!

A masculine birthday card using Sizzix Circuit embossing folder and MFT Block Happy Birthday die. The small sentiment is Sweet ‘n Sassy Birthday Wordfetti.

The next two cards use SU! Forever Fern, The Paper Studio- Eucalyptus paper, MFT Stitched Basic Edges and Scalloped Stitched Basic Edges, and Sizzix Layered Ovals. Colors- Soft Sky, Mossy Meadow, Lost Lagoon, Certainly Celery, Blue Bayou, Soft Seafoam.

It was semi-cased from Elizabeth Price (Seeing Inkspots).

Simple black & white versions of a card using word dies… Hero Arts- Hello There stamp & die set.

I went with blue and browns for my bee card… SU! Honeybee Home, SU! Hive embossing folder, and circle punches.

A few alternates from the SU! January 2022 Paper Pumpkin kit. The embossed hearts are from an old Cuttlebug Love Language embossing folder. These were scored to change them from a trifold card to a gatefold. I love shaped cards!

Altenew is known for their florals and the Simple Beauty set was used here to make some sympathy cards. The diecut edge is from MFT Stitched Scallop Basic Edges 2.

I am late getting a start on this year’s Christmas cards but I squeaked out a few with the TH Snarky Christmas Cat set.

Another masculine birthday card. These are harder for me! SU! Snowfront used here with some woodgrain paper.

And lastly, some diecut birthday cards using Sweet ‘n Sassy Sweet Treats Stamp & Die Bundle, Sizzix Happy Birthday Drop-Ins Card Dies, Lawn Fawn Double sided adhesive sheets, and a bunch of 1/2″ cardstock strips!

Thanks for scrolling this far and have a great day!
