Good morning! Today I am sharing two cards using some new Sweet ‘n Sassy stamps from this month’s release. Here I used Cheerful Hexies and Walk Humbly.
I’ve been using purple a little more lately. It can be hard to find nice patterned papers with purple in them but these hexagons make it fun and easy to create your own background! The dress on the girl was paper pieced with a scrap I found in my stash. I paired the purple with some turquoise on my first card… love that combo.
My next card is monochromatic and I used the same scrap of paper to make the banner. Then I punched a hexagon window for the girl to peek through.
Here’s the inside…
Have a great day!

Hello friends! I’m glad you are joining us for the Sweet ‘n Sassy April Release Hop! We’re excited about the new stamps available in the shop this month and now can share some of the projects we’ve been working on with you!
I made two cards for the hop and I used the Marquee Caps Alpha, Cheerful Hexies, and Happy Day stamp sets. I love how this first CAS card turned out!
For my second card, I repeated the hexies with gray ink and then stamped a few with the solid image and black ink. It was punched out with a circle punch and placed in the corner.
Hop along to the blogs linked below for all sorts of paper crafting inspiration with the April stamps. Leave a little comment love on each stop along the way for a chance to win a $10 gift voucher to the Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps shop. Winner will be announced on the SNSS blog, Tuesday, April 23.
Thanks for hopping! Have a great day!

Good morning! Today I am playing catch up. I have several cards I didn’t get around to sharing from 2018. Some I will post later but here’s a quick share of a few with a bit of info on each.
My first card uses the beautiful Altenew Layered Rose die that was a free sample in a Simply Cards & Papercraft magazine a while back. The thanks die is by Echo Park and the Wonky Stitched Ovals die is by Gina Marie. The colors of cardstock I used are black, SU! Coastal Cabana, Pink Pirouette, Melon Mambo, Raspberry Ripple, Pear Pizzazz, and Mossy Meadow.
My next card uses the SU! Bird Banter stamp set and the sentiment is from Altenew’s Label Love. The Paper Studio’s Poteeka Birds embossing folder goes great with this set and I love it in the Lemon Lime Twist cardstock. A little black branch was added from the SU! Petals & More Thinlits.
This fun flamingo one is a CASE of a card by Amy Koenders using the SU! Fabulous Flamingo set…love it! It uses Flirty Flamingo ink and cardstock of course!
Here’s another card with the Flirty Flamingo ink and cardstock, along with some gold paper and a gold strip of washi tape. This could be for any occasion but it was a congratulations on an engagement card. Stamps are from the SU! July 2016 Paper Pumpkin kit- What a Gem.
The butterfly card was inspired by the talented Kittie Caracciolo. I used SU!’s Watercolor Wings stamp set and Bold Butterfly Framelits. The dies are Simon Says Stamp’s Stitched Circles and Spellbinders Picot Edge Circles. I also used the Martha Stewart Frond and Hydrangea punches. The butterfly was stamped with Daffodil Delight, Calypso Coral, and Real Red inks.
My daughter was attending a wedding of some motorcycle enthusiasts and asked me to make her a card. This was a clip art image I found online and I just added a simple stamped sentiment.
And my last card is a CAS sympathy card…not a bright card this time but rather done in softer colors. I used a Park Lane Tree embossing folder and Martha Stewart Royal Butterfly punch. The sentiment is from SU! Love & Sympathy.
Thanks for popping in….have a great day!
Hello! Once again I am behind on sharing some of the “just for fun” cards I’ve made. Here’s one that I made this week using the SU! Needle & Thread stamp set and the Needlepoint Elements coordinating dies. I used a piece of patterned paper from the Needlepoint Nook pack of dsp and started my card off with that Flirty Flamingo color.
I also added some flowers in Berry Burst and some leaves in Pear Pizzazz. A little Old Olive twine was added to the die cut sentiment.
I love decorating the envelopes to match but most of the time I forget to! I think I might keep a few handy in my tool caddy to help me remember. Anyway, this time I did pull an envelope out and stamped it to match.
Have a great night!
Good morning! Today I have a little different type of project to share using some old & new Sweet ‘n Sassy stamps. Here I used Cheerful Hexies, Walk Humbly, Choose Faith, and the April Stamp of the Month, Happy Day.
I recently thought about some Calling (Visiting) Cards that my mother asked me to make for her quite a few years ago. They are the size of a business card, 2″ x 3 1/2″. This is slightly different from the popular ATC (Artist Trading Card) size. They also resemble a smaller version of today’s scripture or journaling cards which are sometimes used as tip-ins in bible journaling. I couldn’t find any in my files or on my blog that I previously made…so it was at least 12 but closer to 19 years ago. When visiting people in the hospital or homes, my mom would leave a Calling Card to let them know that she was there (if they were out of the room or not home) or to simply act as a reminder that “someone cares”.
The history of these cards is quite interesting. “A tray full of calling cards was like social media for the Victorian era, a way to advertise who was in one’s extended social circle.” You can read more about the history of calling (visiting) cards HERE, HERE and HERE.
These cute little cards could be left when you visit someone in the hospital or tucked in a card that you mail. Why not tuck one in the next bill you pay or drop it in the tube at the drive through when you do your banking? There are lots of ways to share God’s love… be creative! PLUS…they’re a great way to use up leftover pieces and scraps! 🙂 Have a great day!
stamps- Sweet ‘n Sassy Cheerful Hexies, Walk Humbly, Choose Faith and Happy Day; paper- white, black, red; ink- Memento Tuxedo Black, SU! Melon Mambo; accessories- Copics, small flower punch, brads, Simon Says Stamp Sketch Heart die.
Good morning! Today I am sharing two cards I created using some new Sweet ‘n Sassy stamps from this month’s release. Here I used Cheerful Hexies and the April Stamp of the Month, Happy Day.
First I created a CAS card with the hexagons and stamped the solid images in pink and yellow. I stamped the flowers right over top but they seemed a bit too busy. The flowers were then stamped again onto scrap paper and I popped them up. This looks much better!
Next I pulled out some patterned papers and stamped one of the outline images on them with black ink. I also used the plaid patterned image to stamp a few. The butterfly from Happy Day was also stamped on a scrap of patterned paper and cut out. This is a great way to use up some of your scraps!
Have a great day!
stamps- Sweet ‘n Sassy Cheerful Hexies and Happy Day; paper- white, SU! Calypso Coral and Poppy Parade, MME- The Sweetest Thing; ink- Memento Tuxedo Black, SU! Smoky Slate, Flirty Flamingo, Daffodil Delight, Garden Green, Calypso Coral; accessories- foam dimensionals, SU! Hexagon punch and Honeycomb embossing folder, enamel dots, clear Wink of Stella.
Good morning! This is my second post today but I wanted to share two Easter cards I created using the fabulous Sweet ‘n Sassy He is Risen stamp set. I LOVE the style of this set and previously used it on this bible journaling page. But it’s also a great set to create cards!
I was planning to color the tomb on this card with Copics but after I masked and sponged the rays yellow, I just loved it in black and white so I kept it that way. 🙂
I masked and sponged colors on the second image too. Then I used a dotted stencil to add some texture.
Have a great day!
stamps- Sweet ‘n Sassy He is Risen; paper- white, black, Theresa Collins-Fabrications, MME- Breeze; ink- Memento Tuxedo Black, SU! Crushed Curry, Peach Parfait, Poppy Parade, Certainly Celery; accessories- Tim Holtz Rays and Dot Fade stencils, rhinestones.
Good morning! Today I am sharing a CAS card I created using the Sweet ‘n Sassy Genuine Love stamp set from this month’s release. This one will definitely be one of my all time favorites… it’s so versatile and pretty! My sentiment is from His Love.
I realized that I didn’t use any black ink here. I need to do that more often! I like the softness of the sentiment in a light gray. This card is very easy and was even easier with the use of a MISTI. I just stamped each flower and leaf, then turned the paper 180 degrees and stamped again.
Have a great day!
stamps- Sweet ‘n Sassy Genuine Love and His Love; paper- white, black, SU! Smoky Slate; ink- SU! Smoky Slate, Flirty Flamingo, Grapefruit Grove, Certainly Celery, Daffodil Delight, and Pool Party.
Good morning! Today I have 2 cards to share with a very popular set from this month’s Sweet ‘n Sassy release, Scripture Crosses. This set sold out quickly but you can pre-order now…more are coming! I used the same sentiment image on both cards with various flourishes. I also used flowers from the sweet new Genuine Love stamp set.
Here I stamped the cross onto patterned paper. Then I masked it and stamped some flowers “behind” it.
I went with different colors for my second card but stamped the cross on patterned paper once again. This time I added flowers to the corners of the main image and popped one up.
There’s plenty of time to get your Easter cards done and these sets are perfect to use! Have a great day!
stamps- Sweet ‘n Sassy Scripture Crosses and Genuine Love; paper- white, black, SU! Rich Razzleberry, Cajun Craze, MME- Hello Gorgeous and The Sweetest Thing, The Paper Studio- Harper’s Boutique; ink- Memento Tuxedo Black, SU! Calypso Coral, Pear Pizzazz, Rich Razzleberry, Daffodil Delight, Tangelo Twist, Pear Pizzazz, Cajun Craze; accessories- rhinestones, Stickles, SU! Victorian Photo Corner punch, foam dimensionals.
Hello! Just taking a break on this beautiful day to pop in and share a fun interactive card I made earlier this week using the Lawn Fawn Critter Concert stamp set and their new Magic Picture Changer set of dies.
The main image is cute enough, but…
…when you pull the tab, the picture changes to reveal another scene!
I got my little raccoon a bit high so I added the “hello” below him.

So fun! You need to try it!
