Inked & Tiled Quilt Card

Hello and happy Thursday! Today I have a quilt card (or two) to share. Two weeks ago, I attended an event where Julie Heitz (The Chirpy Cardmaker of Quilts) taught this style of paper pieced quilt block and added it to a fun fold card. I loved it and was excited to make more! I’ve since learned that this pattern of hers is a variation of the card trick quilt block.

Here I used SU! Inked & Tiled set, Inked Botanicals 6×6, Dainty Delight (sentiment), Thoughtful Expressions dies, Eyelet and Softly Sophisticated embossing folders, and Fine Sparkle Adhesive Backed Gems.

The card front was cut from the fold at 4 1/4″ and the remaining 1 1/4″ on the right was glued down to the back. The quilt block was popped up with dimensionals. I don’t know why I haven’t used this dsp yet…it’s so pretty! I decided that I needed to decorate the envelope with the pretty colors too. 🙂

And I couldn’t forget the inside…

I made a second card exactly the same except I used a different embossing folder. I’m not sure which I like better.

Have a great day!
