nursing grad

Last weekend our daughter graduated from college…Summa Cum Laude!  We’re so proud of her for all the hard work.  The time seemed to go by fast, although I’m sure she may disagree.  ha!  Since I knew this day was coming, I saved an idea for a graduation card that I saw in a Paper Crafts magazine.  Here’s a link to that card in the May/June 2013 issue.

Since there aren’t any patterns and I don’t have the diecuts or stickers that were used, I sorta just “winged” it.  I cut 1/2″ strips for the neckline and used a tracing wheel to make some faux stitches.  The stethoscope was a free clipart that I found and printed out.  I think it turned out cute and now I am anxious to try making a “printed scrub” card.

If you know of anyone graduating in the medical field, this is a super cute way to say congrats!  Here’s my graduate..

paper- white, silver, SU! Pool Party and Blush Blossom; accessories- free clipart (stethoscope), tracing wheel, corner rounder, SU! horizontal slot punch, Copics, Sizzix Girls Are Weird dies.
