you are loved

Before I get to my card today, I want to share some news. If you haven’t heard yet, Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps is in the process of rebranding under the name Creative Worship Stamps. Same great products, just a new name.

I made a little die cut window in the panel on my CAS card front with the circle dies. Then it was popped up over the card base which I stamped the tiny flowers on. A few dots of Stickles were added for a bit of sparkle.

Products used: Itty Bitty Blossoms, Itty Bitty Silhouette Blossoms, Dearest Friend, Stitched Circles Dies.

Check out the sweet little bee…

Have a great weekend!

God is our refuge

Today I’m sharing a Floating Strips Card…so fun! I made this for a challenge with friends and was inspired by a card I saw with similar colors. The strips of cardstock are simply adhered to a piece of acetate and then it was die cut with a circle die. The piece is then popped up with foam tape or dimensionals. My leaves were cut with gold cardstock.

Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps products used: The Lord is Near, Foliage Dies, Stitched Circles Dies.

Have a great Thursday!

quick and simple thank yous

Happy Thursday! Today I am sharing some thank you cards that I was behind on getting in the mail. I wanted them to be company/product-specific, so I kept the designs simple to easily make them all with different supplies. My first card uses Avery Elle’s Be Zesty and coordinating dies.

Next, I used Gina K Designs retired Hygge Time for a sweet snowy card.

Here I used Lawn Fawn’s Cerealsly Awesome set & Dies. You can see the ATC that I previously made with these Here.

Nic Magnuson from Magnuson Custom Stamps is the best to work with for custom stamps! He did the cute snowman here for our Stamp & Swap event’s theme and I designed the sentiment.

I love MFT stamps and their Alpine Friends and Alpine Friends Die-namics are adorable!

I used Pink & Main’s Pocket of Sunshine (retired) and Layered Scallops A2 Rectangle Dies for the next card. These layered scallops are fun!

I used some rainbow striped paper to coordinate with the sentiment and image from the Prickley Pear Scalloped Oval stamp set.

And last, I used the Inked & Tiled stamp set that I purchased through Amy K, SU! demonstrator to create the following thank you card.

We appreciated each of these donors, plus My Sweet Petunia and Scor-Pal, for helping us to have a successful event!

2023 wrap up

I have a few more cards from the year to quickly share before 2023 is over. First is a CAS graduation card with a Darice embossing folder, some large Numbers Dies, and a simple die cut word from SnSS’s Script Sentiments Stamp & Die Bundle.

The next two CAS cards use My Father’s House stamp set. The first card was for a pastoral ordination and the second card was for some churches that were being prayed for. The church image was stamped directly onto patterned papers and only needed a sentiment added.

Tim Holtz’ Chilly & Freezy dies from SSS 2022 Diecember were used on this card. I made it back in February to thank a friend for sharing the dies with me. Distress inks were applied to the background and then spritzed with water for the snowy sky. The sentiment is from my own set, Snowy Hello.

I love to personalize cards, but don’t do it often enough! Here’s a notecard that I made and personalized with the recipient’s name. The flowers are SU!, the alphabet, sentiment, and stencil are SnSS, and the frame and border are Sizzix.

The next two cards use SU! Peaceful Cabin. The second one is an altered Paper Pumpkin kit which I made a pocket inside for a gift card.

I loved this Paper Pumpkin kit just the way it was designed…no alterations here!

I needed several last-minute money holder cards and didn’t find any in the store. I made a quick slimline sample with an optional belly band and took some photos of it when done. I used different patterned papers but forgot to take photos until I was going to seal the last one. lol. This card uses a Tim Holtz stamp and Hobby Lobby patterned paper.

Have a safe & happy New Year!

birthday bunch

Happy Friday! Today I am catching up with nine of my favorites from the past year that were hanging out in my files…a bunch of birthday cards! These cards were not made for a company design team and just hadn’t been shared yet. It’s another photo heavy post today!

My first card was for a dinosaur-loving girl who turned 7. I used MFT‘s A-roar-able Friends and Lawn Fawn’s Platform Pop-Up Dies. The platform card folds flat for placing into an envelope. Strips of clear acetate were used to attach a few of the elements.

For the mini slim birthday cake card, I used… Spellbinders Stitched Fringe Cake Dies, Taylored Expressions Happy Birthday Banner and Skinny Mini Party Borders Dies, Sizzix Bold Flora Dies, and SU! Scattered Sequins embossing folder. Each cake layer was stitched by hand with white thread.

My next two cards were made in the same style, with the top half of the card front cut away. (Cut the top of the card front @ 2 3/4″) This piece is then turned 1/4 turn and adhered to the bottom front. So, for the center front layers on the first card… the black is 2 3/4 x 4 1/4, the green is 2 1/2 x 4, and the white is 2 1/4 x 3 3/4. The inside white layer is 2 1/2 x 4. Add additional cardstock and patterned paper layers as desired. Here I used SU! Artistically Inked Bundle, and Expressions in Ink dsp and Ephemera (gold foliage), plus a gold bee charm.

The masculine version was made the same way, using SU! Seaside Bay and coordinating papers.

A beautiful paper napkin was applied to the following card front for a pretty floral background. Then I used Lawn Fawn’s Pop-Up Bee Dies and You’re a Keeper stamp set to create this sweet pop-up card. LOVE the bee dies!! This card is so cute in person. I only wish I had made those wings sparkly!

Another masculine card, this one’s for a sushi lover. I used Lawn Fawn’s Let’s Roll and Sizzix Tropicool Slider Card Dies. The Sushi pops up and reveals the greeting inside as the top is pulled.

How cute are these two from the MFT Sweater Weather- In the Woods set? I kept this card CAS and spot-lighted them with some plaid circles. I followed the MFTWSC498 sketch.

Pink & Main has some terrific stamps…this is from the Beach Unicorn set. I also used the Waves Border Dies. You can see some of the glitter sparkle in the second photo.

And last for today, I was asked to make a strawberry themed birthday card for a little girl turning one. I used the Altenew Mega Number 1 die and SU! Sweet Strawberry bundle.

Have a great weekend!

quick & easy seasonal birds

Today I have a third card that I made with cute birds from the Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps December release. I still have one more to share later…they’re so fun! This card is CAS…the image is fussy cut and popped with foam tape. Then I made him festive for the holiday with a pop of color. The red scarf has Crystal Effects applied on it which made it shiny. (I can’t believe there’s only 12 days until Christmas!) This could also be used for a valentine or any other occasion.

Products used: Diagonal Plaid Background and Seasonal Birds

Have a great day!

hip hip yay

It’s Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps‘ 16th birthday and today is the last day for 25% off stamps, dies, & stencils!

Today my CAS card features the Cocoa’s Birthday Wish stamp set and Circles Die Set. I simply adhered some patterned paper strips and a quickly cut banner, then added the circles. The party hat image circle is popped with foam tape.

Have a great day!

from our home to yours

Good morning! Today Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps is having their October Instagram Hop with card samples from the new release. Be sure to check over there for this card plus all the other projects in the hop, and comment on IG for a chance to win a $25 prize. You can find me on IG- @papercookies4u, and the hop will start at @sweetnsassystamps.

I am using the adorable new Village Die Set. Check out the sweet little houses and my favorite…a church! I layered some plaid paper strips onto the card base and then die cut one of the houses from the same plaid. Copic markers were used on a scrap of white cardstock and then I layered the plaid house on top so the markers would show through. A bit of Stickles was added to the windows for sparkle. The H,M, and E letters were die cut with the Bold Caps Alpha Dies, and the “from our/to yours” sentiment is from Christmas Pine. I also used the SU! Softly Falling embossing folder.

Enjoy the hop and be sure to comment on Instagram for a chance to win!

merry little Christmas

Hello. Today I am using the Holiday Cheer Stamp & Die Bundle from this month’s Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps release, along with the SNSS circle dies. I love CAS cards for the holidays so I kept this one simple! The holiday cup is popped up with dimensionals.

Have a great week!

pink poinsettias

When I sat down with the new Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps Poinsettia Wishes Stamp & Die Bundle, I knew what inks to use on the flowers…pink poinsettias are my favorite!

I brushed a light blue ink on the center of the card front, then added the flowers. The petals were first stamped with a light pink ink. Then I sponged a little darker pink on the center of the stamps and stamped over the first impressions. A MISTI tool is so helpful in getting it perfectly aligned! The sentiment was popped up and I stamped a few of the flower centers in blue.

Have a great day!
