masculine birthday cards

Good morning! I have a few more cards to share using Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps products. Today I have some masculine birthday cards. I used a LOT of products here…

Product links: Masculine Mash-UpShiplap BackgroundBirthday Wordfetti, Make A Wish, Mixed Up Stencil, Starry Night Stencil, Sunburst Layering Stencils, Numbers Dies, Speech Bubbles Dies, Script Sentiments, Spring Blossoms, Inspirational Word Art 2, Gnome-One Like You, and Friendship Is a Blessing.

My first two cards were for nephew’s birthdays. This year I decided to focus on the numbers rather than an image.

I used products from this month’s release for the camping card. “Enjoy” is from the Mixed Up Stencil.

My last card was for a combination Graduation/Birthday/Moving Away party. I thought the speech bubbles would be a fun way to get all of the sentiments onto one card!

Have a great day!

strike up some fun

Hello! Today I’m sharing two cards using products from the Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps May release. Do you know someone who likes to go bowling? Or maybe your kids get invited to bowling birthday parties? Maybe you are just looking to make a fun card? Most of us have bowled at least once in our life and this card would bring back fun memories.

Product links: Masculine Mash-UpShiplap Background, Boss Lady Alpha Dies, Bold Birthdays, Birthday Wordfetti.

I stamped the bowling image on the background of the front of the card, then added a square layer with a popped-up balloon. But…my favorite part is the inside.

I used the Shiplap Background to make the bowling lane and the alpha dies for my sentiment.

I stamped and fussy cut the ball and pins, then added them to a simple pop-up feature. To make the pop-up, I used a 1″ x 4 1/4″ strip and scored it at every inch (1″, 2″, 3″, and 4″). Then simply fold and glue the 1/4″ tab to make a square. Glue one side to the inside bottom, then add adhesive and “close” the top of the card to adhere the pop up to the card front.

I had some diecut letters left over and another fun sentiment in mind, so I made another card. This one is a CAS Mini Slim card so that I could fit all the letters across the bottom. This one is 3 1/2″ x 6 1/4″. The ball and two pins were stamped again and popped-up. I stamped the “you’re” word from the Be Unique set.

Have a great day!

trust in the Lord

Good morning! Today I am sharing some cards using products from the Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps May release, along with some older favorites. I kept the backgrounds plain or light in color on the cards today so that the images and words would stand out.

Product links: Mixed Up Stencil, Faith Wordfetti, Too, Botanical Branches Bundle, Shiplap BackgroundTo-Do ListScribble Flowers Bundle (Bundles also sold separately).

For my first card, I lightly sponged a faint blue in the center. Part of the stencil was masked off and then sponged with blue and green inks. A small sentiment was added above in black. The branch was colored, die cut, and popped up with dimensionals.

I made a few of these cards and when I was done, I noticed a smudge of ink on the edge of one, so I die cut the card front and layered it onto a new base. Now I’m not sure which version I like better!

The Shiplap Background was stamped with a light gray ink on the second card. Then I added some words from the new To-Do List set and some favorite flowers (and that sweet bee!).

Have a great day!

To-Do List

Hello! I’m sharing a different type of project today for the Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps May release. I started making cards recently for our church card ministry and I thought it would also be nice to decorate some mini composition notepads that people can use for sermon notes, prayer journals, etc. I picked the notepads up at Walmart. They are pretty colors in packs of three.

The new set, To-Do List, was perfect for this project, as well as the older set, Your Story. I combined them with some flowers… I couldn’t decide if I wanted to place the same color of flower on each notepad or mix them up, so I made some both ways!

Have a great day!

you are missed

Hello! I am sharing one more card today for the Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps April release. It’s hard to believe the end of the month is here already! This time I made a mini slim card. I made a set of these for our church’s card ministry. The sentiment was popped with dimensionals. The blue paper is textured which is hard to see.

roses for you

Good morning! I’m sharing a quick & easy set of cards today using stamps from the Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps April release. Sometimes I like to show how images can be used without coloring them in, so this set of cards is another example. (Next week I’ll share a card with the same image, colored).

Product links: Roses For You Bundle, stamps and dies are also sold separately.

I started this CAS set of cards with four A2 size white card bases. Then I cut 4 pieces of cardstock in various colors to 3″ squares. Using a MISTI stamping tool, I was able to stamp all four colors with the image being in the exact same place. Then each square was cut into quarters (cut @ 1 1/2″, turn and cut again). The pieces were shuffled so each card base has one of each color that realigns to complete the image. You could tape them together on the back before adhering to the card, but I chose to leave about 1/16″ space between them.

After the pieces were glued down, I added the sentiment. Again, a Misti tool makes it quick and easy for perfect placement.

Have a great day!

church family

Hello! I’m sharing two more cards for the Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps April release here. For these, I was focusing on the new Church Family stamp set. I received this set at the perfect time, as I was recently asked to make cards for our church’s card ministry. This set will surely get a lot of use!

Product links: Song Birds (also sold in a Bundle with Dies), Church Family (Stamp of The Month), His Wings Bundle (also sold separately), and Grunge Grid Stencil.

For the first card, I kept it CAS. I rounded one corner and stamped the bird image. Then I masked the bird and brushed ink over the stencil. The words were added (I love this sentiment), and I stamped & popped up another wing for a little dimension.

I picked some masculine colors for the second card and brushed the same stencil onto vanilla cardstock. Then I stamped two feathers onto the background and diecut/popped up a third feather. The “missing you” is another sentiment that’s perfect for these cards that I’m making.

I hope you have a blessed Easter!

song birds

Good morning. The weather is finally feeling like spring here and even God’s creatures seem to be celebrating. Do you hear the birds singing? We have a nest with eggs and I’m not sure what type of bird is living there as I haven’t seen them yet. Birds are in the Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps April release too. It’s another great one!

Product links: Song Birds (also sold in a Bundle with Dies), Church Family (Stamp of The Month).

I made two fun fold cards with this set. For the first one I cut off half of the card front and turned it, using it for the layered panel. Start with a 4 1/4 x 11 piece of cardstock and score/fold at 5 1/2″. Then cut the card front at 2 3/4″. Turn the trimmed piece and layer it back on.

I stamped part of the image again, trimmed, and placed it on the inside. Part of the image was also stamped lightly in the corner with the words.

For my second card, I made a Double Triangle Fun Fold card with a belly band to close it following directions in this video. Don’t be intimidated by the triangles…they’re actually squares folded in half. It’s easy to put together!

No coloring on this one made it a snap to make several quickly and the navy color gives it an elegant feel.

I added the bird to the inside as well and stamped a sentiment from the Church Family set. My patterned paper was one-sided so the inside remained white.

Have a great day!

praying for you

Hello! I have one more card to share this month using the Forever Loved stamp set from the Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps March release.

Product links: Forever Loved. This set also has Dies and is available in a Bundle.

I chose a black & white patterned paper here and simply cut a curved diecut edge. The flower was cut and popped up with foam tape. This stylized flower has many possibilities for coloring, and I know that I will get a ton of use from the beautiful sentiments alone!

Check out this pretty set…

Have a great day!

puddle jumpers

Good morning and Happy St. Patrick’s Day! Today I have two cards using another new set from the Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps March release. This one is called Puddle Jumpers… it’s perfect for the Spring weather that finally arrived!

Product link: Puddle Jumpers

I cut the little girl out and placed her on a tag for my first card. She is also cute with the puddle underneath her, but my tag wasn’t tall enough for both. I did find some little raindrop gems to add to the card!

I did a little experimenting on my second card. There’s a really cute puddle image in the set but I wanted to see if the cloud would work as a puddle too (minus the splashes). I should have stamped it a bit lower, but I think it worked ok. How cuuute is the tiny paper boat? ♥

Have a great day!
