hey, chick!

Today I’m sharing two more cards with the great alpha dies and cute farm set from this month’s Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps release. I also used some SNSS stencils on the backgrounds.

Product links: Bold Caps Alpha DiesDown on the Farm Bundle (Stamps and Dies also sold separately), Bubbles Stencil, Chicken Wire Stencil.

For my first card, I die cut the letters “HEY” from a 4 1/4 x 5 1/2-inch panel, saving the letters for the next card. I layered some patterned paper onto a card base where the letters would show through. Then the stamped and stenciled panel was popped up on the base with foam tape. The sweet little chick was placed on the fence.

Next, I masked off the top portion of the letters and heat embossed them with a clear sparkle embossing powder. The card base was also masked and the bubbles were stenciled with black ink. I added the same die cut chick and a simple sentiment with some red twine accent.

Have a great day!

sending love

Hello! I have a CAS, quick card to share today. I am really loving the new alpha die set from the Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps August release. So many possibilities! This card could be a valentine or used any other time of year to send some love and care.

My background is a piece of patterned paper, but you can easily stamp your own florals. The shiny gold paper was a piece that I saved from the lining of a fancy envelope. It was the perfect size strip for die cutting a few letters. I added a tiny sentiment from the Love Wordfetti set and a few rhinestone accents.

Have a great day!

down on the farm

Good morning! Today I am sharing some cards using new stamp & die sets from the Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps August release. This adorable farm set pairs so well with the new alpha dies!

Product links: Bold Caps Alpha Dies, Down on the Farm Bundle (Stamps and Dies also sold separately), Hillside Edges Dies, Sentimental Wordfetti.

For my first card, I die cut a hello greeting in various colors and offset the letters for a bit of whimsy. My greeting and cute pig were layered onto a floral embossed panel, then I added a little Wordfetti sentiment.

I die cut letters to spell YIPEE for my second card. This time I used the little cow and created a scene for him with patterned papers and the Hillside Edges Dies. I have a clear 6 inch ruler that I got in the sewing department somewhere many years ago. I use it very often on my cards…it stays in my tool caddy. The clear ruler is very helpful to me in lining up alpha dies! (You could also use a piece of washi tape to create a straight edge for alignment, then remove it).

Have a great day!

how tweet

Good morning! Today I am sharing two cards using a cute bird set from Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps. This set has been used a lot by the team and is very versatile in both card making and bible journaling.

Product links: How Tweet Stamp & Die Bundle (also sold separately), Hillside Edges Dies.

I created a patterned paper background for my first card and popped up the bird and some clouds.

For my second card, I cased the cardstock colors from a card photo that a friend shared with me (creator unknown). I loved the color scheme. The bird die was cut from the center of a scalloped die cut and popped up over the cardstock strips. Then I lined up the bird stamp in the MISTI and stamped it in black.

Have a great day!

here for you

Hello! Today I am sharing two summery cards using some cute Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps

Product links: Here For You, Tea For Two, Tea For Two Dies, and Summer Fruits.

My first card features a new set released this month called Here For You. I love how the word “you” is separate in each sentiment so it can easily be added in a contrasting color! I also used some flowers and a ladybug image from Tea For Two (such a CUTE set!). The panel on the left was created with overlapping washi tapes (Twisted Ribbon Technique).

The Summer Fruits stamp set is another favorite, so hard to choose which image to use! I decided on the lemons and paired them with some gingham papers.

Have a great day!

gnome for the holidays

Hello! Today Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps is having a Christmas in July Instagram Hop. Be sure to check it out if you are on IG! I have a card also to share here using the SNSS set called Christmas Gnomes. Turquoise & red is a great color combo for the holidays, and I pulled some papers in those colors to create my card.

The measurements for my panels, starting at the top left and going clockwise, are 1 1/2 x 1 1/2, 2 3/8 x 3 5/8, 1 1/2 x 2 3/8, and 1 1/2 x 3 5/8.

Have a great day!

mini composition notepads

Recently I posted a few mini composition notebooks that I decorated and today I have a few more to share. These are a fun alternative to the normal card making and apparently were well received, as they were picked up as fast as I laid them out. I need to make more! I didn’t get photos of them all but here’s a few.

The mini notebooks are from Walmart and are a great way to use up scraps and leftover bits. Have a great day!

you’re awesome

Hello! Today I am sharing a card using one of my favorite sets from Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps. This one is always fun to pull out and create with! I also used the July Product of the Month… a set of dies which are free with your $65 order!

Product links: Fin-Tastic Friends Stamp & Die Bundle, Hearts & Stars Scallop Border Dies

I used the cute little puffer fish and seahorse images, along with one of the sentiments on my card. For the left side, I used 1/2″ x 1″ strips of cardstock and my die cut border. I added an embossed panel to the right and popped the sea creatures up with foam tape. The hearts that were cut from the border didn’t all go to waste…I used a few as embellishments! They would also be fun in a shaker card. 🙂

Have a great day!

paper pumpkin catch-up

I know I’m not the only one who has stacks of untouched SU! Paper Pumpkin kits! I recently started to chip away at them and use some alternate sentiments and designs so that I can donate some to a card ministry. I finished 3 kits here. The first one is a recent kit from April 2022. I added sentiments from SU! High Tide and Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps Inspirational Word Art 2, God Is BiggerBe Encouraged, God’s Purpose (Retired), Vintage Seed Packet (Retired), and Made New.

The first cards had the moon on the front and the sun on the inside. I cut them apart and layered the panels onto new card bases.

The next two cards in the kit are a Z-fold style. There’s an area on the back of each to write your personal message.

The next kit is from March 2018. Each card had a coordinating envelope with a string closure. Since they would be difficult to mail, I made a few mostly following the directions (first photo) that I could hand deliver. Then I cut up some of the remaining envelopes to make some alternate cards and a scrap page too! The scrap page was inspired by Rachel Tessman’s pocket page, with a few added details.

The last kit that I completed was from March 2022. I also used the SU! Lift Me Up and On The Horizon sets, and Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps Everyday Greetings and Be Encouraged.

Have a great day!

heartfelt hellos

Hello! Today I am sharing two cards with a fun technique, using some Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps. I tried the Split Sentiment Technique, where you ink through a reverse masked shape which also has a masked area for a sentiment.

Product links: Song Birds, Garden Whimsy, Script Sentiments, Mason Jar Bouquet.

The technique was done with an oval shape, but I thought it would be fun to try a heart with an old set of Spellbinders heart dies. First, I made some anniversary cards, and then some simple hellos. The colors of ink used are SU! Sweet Sugarplum, Pool Party, and Wisteria Wonder.

These are great CAS, no-layer cards. Try them! Have a great day!
