Quiver and Wings / Woodblock Wednesday

I’m a little late posting, but I made a quick card for the March Woodblock Wednesday Challenge using some older Penny Black butterfly stamps called Quiver and Wings. The sentiment is from SU!. I have been loving the butterfly images lately…I’m waiting for the Spring temps to return!

Happy Easter!

spring garden / Woodblock Wednesday

Hello! For my card today, I used a really old SU! set from 2003 called Two-Step Spring Garden to play along with Amy T’s Woodblock Wednesday Challenge. I also used the Perennial Postage Dies, a sentiment from Inked & Tiled, the Softly Sophisticated embossing folder, and a tiny Bumblebee Trinket.

I started with a piece of watercolor paper and lightly spritzed it with water. Then I stamped the images and let the colors bleed. I spritzed a little more where needed. When dry, I overstamped again with the same inks, then added a few splatters.

Have a great week!

flower bed / Woodblock Wednesday

Hello! I’ve been wanting to dig out some older woodblock stamps for a while now and try participating in Woodblock Wednesday. I’m not sure if it originated with Amy, but I know it at least goes back to 2019 with this post by Amy Tsuruta. I’ve enjoyed seeing cards by Stephanie for quite a while, and today I’m jumping in!

I’m not sure how the challenge goes…I think it’s the last Wednesday of the month?? I need to figure that out. But for now, I’m just sharing my card on a Wednesday. 🙂 Today I used the 2009 House Mouse Flower Bed stamp with Muzzy sleeping in the flower. So cute!

Happy Valentine’s Day!
