Review Preview Friday

witchy-treats-diane-zechman.jpgToday All That Scraps is having another Review Preview Friday.  This time we are reviewing the Sugarplum Halloween & Scene sets and also Amy’s Boutique.  I have two samples for you and be sure to check out the blog for links to more.

On this first card I used the Sugarplum sets.  I stamped the images onto shimmery white cardstock and colored everything with Copics except the black hat and cape which were watercolored.  Ever since I first saw Christine’s pumpkin images, I thought that they could double as treat bags.  So here I used the pumpkin for the bag, the vine for a ribbon to tie it shut, and the eye/nose image to make the candy corn!  I’m not sure if this witch is delivering or stealing treats…LOL.  Which do you think?

Next I made a card using the Amy’s Boutique sets and the Sugarplum Halloween.

This card turned a totally different direction than what I originally planned on.  I was going to paper piece this cute dress with some pretty floral paper but when I still had my Halloween sets out, I got the idea to make a little witchy dress.  :0)  I started with a base of glossy white cardstock.  The card on the left shows the outside of the card which reads “When in doubt…”.  And the card on the right shows the inside of the card which says “accessorize!”  The witch hat was masked from the image in the card above.  This is a very simple card but I like how it turned out.  The coloring on the inside was done with colored pencil since the card has no layers and I knew that my watercoloring or Copic markers would bleed through.
