bear-ly fishin’

Yay…I finally got my Father’s Day cards done!

This cute fishing bear is from a stamp set by Our Craft Lounge called Bear-ly Fishin’.  I thought it was so cute and finally broke down and ordered it last week.  This was my first set from OCL but it won’t be my last.  I was very impressed with their service and super quick shipping!  I was hoping I’d get the set in time to make my Father’s Day cards but I wasn’t counting on it since I procrastinated.  Needless to say, I was delighted that it arrived so quickly!  And I was also impressed with the quality of the set.  Thanks, girls!  ;0)

I need a birthday card for next week too so I actually made 3 of these all the same.  The third one I will stamp a birthday verse inside instead of the Father’s Day one.  Now I won’t be late for the birthday!

Once again I used my old Fiskars Ocean texture plate to make the waves.  It was perfect for adding a bit of texture and tying in the blue panel for some water.  The tire was stamped on the blue cardstock before it was embossed.  Then it was stamped again on white, colored, and layered over the first image.  The hat, fish, and fishing sign were also cut out and layered into place.

Have a great weekend!
