Good morning! I have 2 cards to share today using Sweet ‘n Sassy stamps. They both use a blue/green color combo but they look so different.
My first card was made with the new stamp set called Celebrate Today and a Lacey Eyelet Border die.
Again, I used the thumping technique on the flowers… color the flower with a lighter colored marker, then tap, or thump, a darker colored marker over top before stamping. Here’s another card I made with the same stamps & technique.
On my second project I used different shades of blue and green with Beauty By The Sea to make a beachy card. How fitting for such a hot & humid week that we’ve had!
Here I used the Saran Wrap technique to make the background. Just scrunch and wad up a piece of plastic wrap and use it like a sponge to apply ink to your cardstock. Tap it on your inkpad and then dab onto the paper in an up & down motion (like stamping), layering several colors. Then I stamped the shells over top in a darker blue. Here’s a close up.
This technique gives the ink some “texture” vs. the smoother look when you sponge in a circular motion.
I hope you have a great, cooler weekend!
