lizard-birthday-diane-zechman.jpgI was asked to make a birthday card with a lizard on it, and use bright colors like orange & green.  Does this fit the bill?  LOL. 

This is the only lizard I could think of that I have.  It’s from the Inkadinkado Humorous Birthday set.  And when I think of bright colors in patterned paper, I think of the DCWV Summer Glitter stack- I love that pad of paper!  This is a very simple card, but the sparkly paper and bright colors make it fun.  Some Prima flowers were added, along with Crystal Effects on his eyes to finish it off. 

That’s all the typing for me now…I have a sleeping pup on my lap!  :0)

lelo-dont-forget-me-diane-zechman.jpgMy new Stampavie images finally arrived!  :0)  I think they took the slow boat and got lost along the way….LOL.   I’m just glad they’re here now- they’re so cute!  I didn’t know which image to ink up first, but this one seemed to catch my eye.

This sweet kitty stamp is called “Don’t Forget Me”.  It is one of the new images by LeLo Design.  When I saw it, I thought “pink & gray” so my card evolved from there.  I colored the kitty with Copic markers and cut it out, leaving a tiny white border so the image stands out against the background papers.  The words inside the kitty’s sign are from the SU! set called Best Yet.  I’ve had that set for a while now and never mounted it until now.  I don’t know why….I really like it!

I hope you are having a nicer day where you are.  It has been very dreary here with an ice storm.  yuck!  I did manage to get out for a bit though.  Our new puppy, Riley, has been training very well!  In fact, she will 0ften go and just sit by the door, waiting for someone to take her out.  (We still have to keep a good eye on her though!)  LOL.  I’ve had two different people tell me to get a bell and hang it on the door…..and teach her to ring the bell when she wants to go out.  So I went out today and got some large bells (on clearance- yay!) and hung them.  Wish me luck!  :0)

Wedding, Kisses and Hugs, and blog candy winner!

Sorry for the poor photos here!  I had to take these at night.

Tonight at 10 pm, C.C. Designs will be releasing the January sets!  (Including my Snow Friends set in the post below)  :0)  This first card was made with one of Amy Rysavy’s sets that will be released called “Wedding”.

The dress was stamped a few times and then cut into sections and layers.  Each piece was individually embossed and pieced together.  The roses were stamped, cut out and layered over the dress.  (inspired by Lesa)  And the bottom was punched with the Martha Stewart Doily Lace punch to complement the scalloped ruffles of the dress.  This card is made like Mish’s Tent Topper cards.  I didn’t really go by her measurements though….I just punched the bottom and then cut the length to 7 inches and folded it in half.  The width is 4 1/4.   After the dress was added, I decided to attach the words on a little flag and add some accents with Liquid Pearls.

kisses-and-hugs1-diane-zechman.jpgThis next card uses the super-cute images from one of the C.C. Designs sets to be released called “Kisses and Hugs”.  I love Bear in his boxers!  And the bunny and piggy are so sweet!

Here I used the Liquid Pearls again to accent the photo corner and then I also used it to “paint” their wings.  When I was coloring these images, it made me a bit hungry.  They reminded me of vanilla, chocolate & strawberry.  LOL!

Snow Friends sneak peek & blog candy!

snow-friends-1-diane-zechman.jpgDid you notice my new blog banner?  All That Scraps is gearing up for another new release and the sneak peeks started yesterday with Amy’s new sets!  I will have a sample of Amy’s sets soon…(the new puppy is getting a lot of our attention right now!)  LOL.  She’s just the cutest!  Anyway, the images on my banner are from these two cards I made with my new set called Snow Friends!  There are 3 snowman images, a few flakes and a bunch of fun sayings.

This first card uses my favorite image.  I kept picturing in my mind a snowman with no nose, and a little rabbit friend who shares his carrot.  I thought it turned out kinda cute.  :0)  I hope you like it too!  The third image which I haven’t shown here has a snowman with a polar bear friend. 

Both of these cards started with a kraft card base.  Then the snowflakes were stamped and the edges were inked with a white craft inkpad.  The images were colored with Prismacolor pencils and Gamsol.
