Earlier this month I went with Korin and some DT teammates to help with the Sweet ‘n Sassy booth at a show in Syracuse, NY. What a fun trip! When I came home, I was inspired by one of Korin’s make and takes and some cards that Janette was demo-ing. There was a lot of sponging going on! I love to sponge backgrounds but I don’t do it often enough.
Janette was sponging pink and blue and it really caught my eye! I never would have put those colors together but I love it! Here I sponged, stamped, spritzed with water, crumpled, sponged again, and flattened it out. Then I cut it into squares.
Here’s another card with the pink and blue. This is similar to what Janette was doing (masking & sponging) except a different stamp set was used. I love the simplicity of it!
Then I switched up the colors and made some Father’s Day cards. I think this was the quickest Father’s Day card I’ve ever made. LOL.
The last one was made with similar colors as one of the make & takes. Again I used a different stamp set and slightly different layout but it is mostly a CASE of Korin’s card.
Thank you Cathy, Janette, and Korin for the inspiration. :0)
