best. gift. ever.

Good morning! I’m back today with two more Christmas cards, this time in more traditional colors. Here I used the new Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps set called Best Gift Ever which has some pretty great sentiments!

For my first card, I kept it mostly white and stamped the words in red to try to let them steal the show! The tiny star is from another new set…Scene Silhouettes: Jesus Is Born.

For my second card, I really wanted to use this sentiment. I was going to use an image from Scene Silhouettes: Jesus Is Born since they pair so well but decided to go a different route and piled on a bunch of presents. I think the sentiment here helps bring the focus on what the true gift really is.

Have a great Thursday!

stamps- Sweet ‘n Sassy Best Gift Ever and Scene Silhouettes: Jesus Is Born; paper- white, black, red, SU! Crumb Cake and Garden Green; ink- Memento Tuxedo Black, Gina K Cherry Red; accessories- MISTI, Copics, Momenta Intricate Nested Shapes, 2 1/2″ circle punch, Sizzix Tall Pines embossing folder, ribbon, foam dimensionals, Gina Marie Stitched Rectangles and Presents With Bows, rhinestones.

vintage van

Good morning! Today I am sharing two cards using the brand new Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps set called Vintage Van. This set is a lot of fun to create with and has many possibilities…I already have several other ideas that I am anxious to try! My first two cards are for Christmas and when it comes to Christmas cards, I am all about making them easy and reproducible! I mail out quite a few! Here I used some non-traditional colors. The first is in mint and a darker green.

I decided to watercolor a rainbow of colors around my second van. Peace + vans just seem to need a rainbow and don’t we all just need a little bit of peace in our lives right now? I think I need to put a unicorn in the driver seat. Ha. This doesn’t quite look like what we expect in a Christmas card but hey…2020. Enough said. lol.

Have a great Thursday!

stamps- Sweet ‘n Sassy Vintage Van; paper- white, black, watercolor, SU! Mint Melody and Green Galore; ink- Memento Tuxedo Black, Versafine Black, SU! Mossy Meadow; accessories- MISTI, Copics, Momenta Intricate Nested Shapes, white pen, Jane Davenport watercolors, Gina Marie Wonky Stitched Squares, SU! Epoxy stickers.

Another month has gone by and I have a few more challenge cards to share. Not as many cards this time but here’s what I made. This first card was cased and I added the little kitty and bird. We all don’t like having to make a sympathy card but this one is easy and pretty quick to make when needed. I used SU! Grace’s Garden and Darice With Sympathy embossing folder.

For a sketch and masculine challenge, I used SU! Waterfront.

Next I made masculine and feminine versions of this card using the Paper Smooches Happy Hellos set. This was for keeping lots of white space and using your oldest papers. The papers on the card on the right were actually sticky-back! I wish papers were made like that now. lol.

Here’s a coffee card for a sketch challenge using SNSS Coffee TalkMarker Alpha, and Texture Tiles 5.

The last two cards were made for a sketch and fancy fold. I used the SNSS O Holy Night for both cards. I also used paper from MME-Joyful, a pre-printed card base (diagonal stripe), Gina Marie Scalloped Stitched Circles and Mosaic Triangle Edge Circles, SU! Modern Mosaic e.f., and the Martha Stewart Ribbon Bow punch.

Have a great weekend!

I have 3 cards to share today and they are all about courage. I used the new set called The Lord’s Battle for all three cards. The first one also uses God Bless America. I hand drew the pole for the flag.

My next two cards are for cancer awareness using the ribbon image. I also used Marker Alpha and Texture Tiles 5 on the pink breast cancer card.

The lavendar card is for all types of cancer. Here I also used a small flower from Tea For Two.

coffee talk

Good morning! Today I have two quick & easy cards to share with some new Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps. Here I used the August Stamp of the Month set… Coffee Talk. The funny thing is that I don’t drink coffee. But I do enjoy making coffee cards for others! They are always perfect, too, for tucking a gift card inside to a local coffee shop.

For my first card I stenciled some morning rays and layered an old die cut window I found in my stash. It was just what I needed to “sit” the coffee cup on.

Next I repeatedly stamped a cup and sentiment for a background. I planned to add a layer with my focal image but I liked the background so much that I didn’t want to cover it up. I decided to make one of the cups my focal image instead. A scrap of patterned paper was used to paper piece the cup.

Grab a cuppa and have a great Thursday!

flower garden

Good morning! Today I have two cards to share with some new Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps sets. Here I used Flower GardenTrue Beauty, and Bee Sweet. Such fun sets to work with…it’s another month with awesome new sets! Aren’t these flowers pretty?

Both of my cards today are pretty quick and easy. Some simple coloring is all that’s needed! I added an embossed border to my second card and attached the butterfly in the center so it’s wings can pop up.

Have a great day!

True Beauty

Welcome to the Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps June Release Hop! There’s another fabulous release in the SNSS shop that we’ve been stamping with and we’re excited to share our projects with you! Hop along and leave a comment for the designers linked below and you might just be a lucky winner! One lucky comment from all the comments along the hop will win a $10 gift voucher to the Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps shop. Winner will be announced on the SNSS blog, Wednesday, July 22.

The stamp set that I’m using today, True Beauty, sure is a true beauty! So many possibilities with this set! First I just used the outline stamp to create a CAS pink and black card.

Next I used a few of the flower images together to make a square Joy Fold style card. The flaps of the two sections overlap when closed.

The base is 4 1/4 x 6 3/8, scored at 2 1/8. The smaller card layer is 3 x 6, scored at 3. I wanted the center to be left open for a hand-written message so I stamped my sentiment on the left flap.

Have a great day and thanks for hopping!

bloom

Good morning! Today I have two cards to share with some new Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps sets. Here I used County Fair Alpha, True Beauty, and Flower Garden. For both cards I wanted the words to stand out so I first stamped the alphabet in black ink. I stamped the flowers on the first card in lighter shades of blue and layered it onto a matching card base. So simple but pretty!

For my second card I decided on the word “bloom” and then had the idea to have a flower actually blooming from it. Another simple card but whimsical and cute.

Have a great day!

way maker

Good morning! Today I have two cards to share with a new Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps set this month called Way Maker. This is a great bible journaling set but can also be used for cards and other projects. My first card was obviously inspired by the song!

For my second card, I tried to create the look of a quilt. I’m not sure how successful I was, lol, but it was fun trying. ha ha.

Have a good day!

worship together

Hello! I’m popping in with some cards using the new Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps set called My Father’s House. It is a bible journaling set but can be used in many other ways. Here I created two note cards. Are you missing your church friends and worship service or has your church opened back up? If it has, how is it different? What do you miss? Ours is opening this weekend and I have to admit that I have mixed emotions. I want to go back but I know that it will be so different. I think it will be a while until we get back to normal and even then it probably won’t be the same.

Maybe it’s not supposed to be.

Here’s my cards…

On both cards I placed a clear epoxy sticker over the circle window. On my second card, I also used Time Well Spent and Springtime (for the flowers). The paper pad is MME- Just Sayin’.

Have a good day!
