be a rainbow

Hello! I have a couple of CAS projects today using this month’s Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps release. I used the Good Morning and Texture Tiles 10 sets on the first two. I also used Alleluia Lilies on the rooster card. Texture Tiles 10 and Made New with matching Dies were used on the Memory-dex card.

I kept the CAS cards to 2 colors each. The words on the first one were stamped on the right and accented with rhinestones. The rooster on the second card was popped with dimensionals. I added some lines and dots with a black pen.

My third project is a Memory-dex card. The sentiment was printed with my computer…I just love this quote! I made a rainbow of ink with the rainbow stamp and the butterfly is attached in the body so it’s wings can pop up.

Have a great day!

hoppin’ with the lilies

Welcome to the Sweet ‘n Sassy February Release Hop. Hop along with us as we share our projects with the fabulous February release! Don’t forget to leave a little comment love for the designers linked below for a chance to be entered into our giveaway drawing for a $25 gift voucher to the Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps shop. Winner will be announced on the SNSS blog, Wednesday, February 24.

I am hopping today with a couple of cards using the new Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps sets Alleluia LiliesAlleluia Lilies Dies, and Easter Innies.

My first card also uses the Delightfully Delicate Stencil. Did you know SNSS now has stencils? They’re wonderful!

When I stamped my second card, the color wasn’t what I anticipated for the card that I had in mind. BUT I loved the color that it turned out so I kept this one CAS and simply added a black sentiment. Bonus…I found sequins in the color I used to perfectly match! This one is super simple but I love it.

My last card today has a bit of stenciled background again. This time I stenciled and sponged inside a die cut oval. I thought the oval reminded me of an Easter egg or maybe the tomb?

Have a great day and thanks for hopping!

nature silhouettes sympathy

Good morning! Today I am sharing a CAS card using the Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps sets Nature Silhouettes and Encouraging Peonies. Sympathy cards are not my favorite to make and unfortunately I don’t keep many on hand so I went CAS with this card. I always think of blue, purple, and green colors for a sympathy one. This was inspired by some cards my friend, Tina made. I actually messed up the sentiment and didn’t want to throw away the panel after sponging and stamping so I layered the sentiment on top of the oops. I kinda like this better…happy accident!

Have a great day!

snail mail

Good morning! Today I am sharing a few CAS projects using the new Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps set called Happy Mail. On my first card, I also used the ever popular Nature Silhouettes. Since I kept the images to a minimum, I chose to offset my panels to give it a little interest. I drew the tiny heart with a marker and a simple bow in the corner completed the card.

For my second CAS card, I also combined the Happy Mail set with Bold Birthdays and Birthday Wordfetti. The cute little snail is a little late to the party!

I gave him a sparkly little snail trail.

The last card is super clean & simple. I simply masked the snail and added a few envelopes for him to carry.

And I gave him another snail trail.

Have a great day!

more big cups

Hello! I have two more cards to share today using the new Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps sets called I Like Big Cups and Coffee Talk 2. I also used the awesome new Texture Tiles 9. They all coordinate together wonderfully!

As you know, I love to paper piece and I had fun piecing these big cups for a CAS card. How fun would it be to make a slimline card with a whole rainbow of cups?

I used the same sets for my second card but got a whole different look. This cup looks like something you would find in grandma’s china cupboard.

Go check the sets out…it’s a great release! Have a great day!

2020 wrap up

Hello! Popping in with a second post to wrap up 2020. Some of these are recent projects and some I just never got around to sharing.

This masculine birthday card uses SU! Best Catch and Catch of the Day Thinlits, Old Olive paper and Gina Marie Stitched Rectangle dies.

Next is a wintery card with one of the Anita Jeram kittens (Kittens and Mittens) from Colorado Craft Company. Anita Jeram is the illustrator of the children’s book, Guess How Much I Love you. Her designs are wonderful! The papers are MME- Merry Little Christmas.

The Fa la la framed art was made for a friend in our stamping group’s gift exchange. I started with a 7 Gypsies Shadow Box Tray. Dies: Spellbinders FaLaLa and Santa’s Parade (birds), Sizzix Endless Love Alpha, and Marianne Design tree- LR0136. Background paper: The Paper Studio- Silver Foiled Snowflake. The fence is a Martha Stewart Halloween punch with the bats removed and the wreath is a brad. The beaded snowflake is an old Jolee’s sticker and I added some Aleene’s True Snow around the tiny tree.

I was asked to make a name banner for a newborn baby with pink, gold, and butterflies. Here’s what I came up with. I used Momenta Banner and Alpha dies, Gina Marie Scalloped Stitched Circles, Sizzix Bold Flora dies, and an SU! Butterfly punch.

SU! Love of Leaves fall thank you card in non-traditional colors!

A bible journaling page from August in Pop Art style. The printables were created by Diane Noble.

I made a bunch of Rae Dunn style mugs but only got two finished into tags. I guess I have a good start for next year. lol. These were inspired by some I saw on the internet. I typed and printed a skinny font. The tag and mug dies are MFT. The accent images are from Sizzix Festive Treats dies.

They’re so cute on a package!

Next, I have two more fall projects. The first one is with a vintage Rubber Stampede Halloween Snoopy stamp and some old Cuttlebug dies.

And last is a CAS masculine thank you card. I used Gina Marie Chevron BKGD cutting plate, Altenew Bold Thanks, and Prima Forest Leaves.

Have a great week!

you are my everything

Hello! Just popping in with two CAS cards to share using a new Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps set this month called Texture Tiles 7. I also used the December Stamp of the Month: Much Love on my second card.

While we are still working on Christmas cards, it’s the time of year for stamp companies to look ahead to Valentine’s Day. I kept these simple and wanted the focus on my first card to be on those tiny words. An embossed background seemed to fit well.

I used the full stamp of the words on the second card and over-stamped with words from Much Love. A few hearts from another stamp in Texture Tiles 7 were scattered in the background.

Have a great weekend!

Here I also used Make A Wish and Bold Birthdays.

virtual stamping 9

Hello! Here’s a few more cards that I’ve made while stamping “virtually” with my friends. These were all stamped with Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps.

First, I have two more gnome cards using the new Winter Gnomes stamp set. These gnomes are so cute and fun to create with! I paired them with papers from American Crafts- Noel.

If you like sketches, I drew this one up…

My second gnome card was for another sketch challenge. I used the same paper pack, along with the Cuttlebug Ice Crystal die & embossing folder combo and the Martha Stewart Polar punch.

The next two cards use the new Encouraging Peonies stamp set. These beautiful flowers can be colored many ways or stamped simply like I’ve done here. This card was also for a sketch. The sentiment was cut with Sizzix Stacked Baroque dies and accented with gold thread (hard to see!). Also difficult to see in the photo are a few adhesive pearls.

Sympathy cards can be difficult to create…I kept this one CAS. The large flower was stamped onto a speckled cream base and the smaller one onto white cardstock, which was fussy cut and popped up with foam tape.

Refresh…something we all could use a little of right now, right? A gift card to a local coffee shop would go perfectly with this “Jesus & Java” card. I used the SNSS Fill Me Up set and matching dies. The coffee cup was paper pieced, popped up, and accented with a small epoxy heart sticker. This was for a challenge to use any beverage.

My last card today uses the Thrill of Hope stamp set. It was for a challenge to create this special cut & fold. My largest trimmer is 12″ so I had to cut the diagonal on the 8 1/2 x 11 cardstock by hand with a craft knife and ruler! But I was happy with the end result. I love the trees in the Gina K Red Velvet ink! I used Gina Marie Stitched Circles and Rectangles and the SU! Northern Flurry embossing folder.

EDIT: To answer some questions… I didn’t follow a tutorial,  I’m sure there’s one out there but I’m not sure what it is called. I just scored an 8 1/2 x 11 piece of cardstock at 4 1/4 on the short side and 5 1/2 on the long side. Then I used a ruler and craft knife to cut it diagonally to get the two card bases. For the music paper, just cut a layer… 4 x 5 1/4  or 4 1/8 x 5 3/8  diagonally.

The inside…

Thanks for popping in and have a great day!

best. gift. ever.

Good morning! I’m back today with two more Christmas cards, this time in more traditional colors. Here I used the new Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps set called Best Gift Ever which has some pretty great sentiments!

For my first card, I kept it mostly white and stamped the words in red to try to let them steal the show! The tiny star is from another new set…Scene Silhouettes: Jesus Is Born.

For my second card, I really wanted to use this sentiment. I was going to use an image from Scene Silhouettes: Jesus Is Born since they pair so well but decided to go a different route and piled on a bunch of presents. I think the sentiment here helps bring the focus on what the true gift really is.

Have a great Thursday!
