sew thankful pocket card with tags

Hello! Today I have a pocket card to share using the Sew Happy Stamp & Die Bundle and Sew Many Stitches stamp set by Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps.

The pocket card was created by scoring and folding a piece of double-sided patterned paper, then trimming off the extra. It was inspired by one I saw on this Instagram post but mine didn’t turn out exactly the same. lol. I don’t know what size paper she started with. I used 12 x 12 and just “winged it”. I’m certain that I won’t be able to recreate mine exactly. haha! The bottom was adhered with Scor-Tape.

After the pockets were made, I stamped the stitches and added the stamped/diecut spools and a real button.

I cut some tags in various sizes and stamped the words of my sentiment onto each one, leaving space on the largest tag to handwrite a note.

Hope you are having a great Monday!

banner wishes

Hello! I’m sharing another card today for Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps‘ 15th birthday celebration. Here I simply strung some tags and banners across the top, layered over a paper doily. Fun!

letter tiles

Good morning! I have two more projects to share with stamps and dies from this month’s Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps release. Here I used the Letter Tiles AlphaWonder of ChristmasChristmas WordfettiGeometric Background, and the re-released Christmas Ornament Tag Die Set.

The new Letter Tile Alpha is fun to create with and the team has used it to make some great bible journaling pages too! First I stamped some letters on the die cut ornament tags, masked them, and stamped/sponged the background.

Next, I stamped a few letters in a square to say “home”. The Geometric Background was masked and stamped for the roof. I made a tiny heart with a red Copic marker and drew some grass.

Have a great day!

geometric background

Good morning! Today I have a few projects to share with stamps and dies from the new Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps release. I used the Geometric Background on each, along with Wonder of Christmas (in a bundle and also sold separately), Antique Ornaments (also sold in a bundle and separately), and Christmas Wordfetti.

I quickly realized that the Geometric Background has endless possibilities! First I stamped it tone on tone onto the bottom of a hand cut tag. Then I added some greenery and a skate from Wonder of Christmas. The sentiment is from Christmas Wordfetti.

Next, I stamped the other skate image with light blue ink onto light blue cardstock. This time I colored a heart pattern on the Geometric Background and made the card in a red & blue color combo. The sentiment seemed to fit the heart pattern nicely.

I also wanted to make a colorful card with the background stamp. You can color this SO many different ways! I chose to color hexagons and paired it with one of the images from Antique Ornaments.

Have a great day!

a few recent cards and a sneak peek!

Hello! I am sharing a couple of cards that I recently made PLUS I have a sneak peek of some new stamps and dies that will be available to order in the Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps shop tomorrow!

First, I created several cards with the Blooming Anemones stamp set and the Friend Word Die. Here’s two of my favorites. This would be pretty in so many color combinations! I created a reverse mask by die cutting the center of a 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 piece of cardstock with a scalloped rectangle shape. The outside “frame” was placed over the front of my card and then I added three colors of ink to each one with dye based inks and blending brushes. When the center was filled in with color, I removed my mask and stamped the flower image with black ink. Then I layered two Friend die cuts and added it to the front and finished with a few sequins.

My next card was created with the Birds & Blooms stamp set. I needed a few sympathy cards and I almost always lean toward blues, greens, and purples. I skipped the purple here and kept the card CAS.

Are you ready for a sneak peek? Be sure to check out What’s NEW tomorrow! In the meantime, I’ll share a card and a tag I made. There’s FIVE products used here from the new release! 🙂

EDIT: The SNSS products used here are Berry Branch Background, Delightfully Delicate Background, Christmas Wordfetti, Scallop Border Dies, Doily Border Dies, Mini Tags Dies, and Large Snowflakes Dies.

Have a great day!

2020 wrap up

Hello! Popping in with a second post to wrap up 2020. Some of these are recent projects and some I just never got around to sharing.

This masculine birthday card uses SU! Best Catch and Catch of the Day Thinlits, Old Olive paper and Gina Marie Stitched Rectangle dies.

Next is a wintery card with one of the Anita Jeram kittens (Kittens and Mittens) from Colorado Craft Company. Anita Jeram is the illustrator of the children’s book, Guess How Much I Love you. Her designs are wonderful! The papers are MME- Merry Little Christmas.

The Fa la la framed art was made for a friend in our stamping group’s gift exchange. I started with a 7 Gypsies Shadow Box Tray. Dies: Spellbinders FaLaLa and Santa’s Parade (birds), Sizzix Endless Love Alpha, and Marianne Design tree- LR0136. Background paper: The Paper Studio- Silver Foiled Snowflake. The fence is a Martha Stewart Halloween punch with the bats removed and the wreath is a brad. The beaded snowflake is an old Jolee’s sticker and I added some Aleene’s True Snow around the tiny tree.

I was asked to make a name banner for a newborn baby with pink, gold, and butterflies. Here’s what I came up with. I used Momenta Banner and Alpha dies, Gina Marie Scalloped Stitched Circles, Sizzix Bold Flora dies, and an SU! Butterfly punch.

SU! Love of Leaves fall thank you card in non-traditional colors!

A bible journaling page from August in Pop Art style. The printables were created by Diane Noble.

I made a bunch of Rae Dunn style mugs but only got two finished into tags. I guess I have a good start for next year. lol. These were inspired by some I saw on the internet. I typed and printed a skinny font. The tag and mug dies are MFT. The accent images are from Sizzix Festive Treats dies.

They’re so cute on a package!

Next, I have two more fall projects. The first one is with a vintage Rubber Stampede Halloween Snoopy stamp and some old Cuttlebug dies.

And last is a CAS masculine thank you card. I used Gina Marie Chevron BKGD cutting plate, Altenew Bold Thanks, and Prima Forest Leaves.

Have a great week!

virtual stamping 5

Good morning! It has been a month and a half since I shared the cards I’ve made while stamping “virtually” with my friends. We’ve been busy with our family and I haven’t had time to post them… so I am splitting them up. Here’s a few I made with Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps and I’ll share the others later this week.

My first card was for a Double Panel Gatefold challenge and I used Bee Sweet. Such a cute set! The paper is Pebbles- Garden Party.

Here’s how it opens…

and I stamped the inside to match.

This little tag wasn’t a challenge project but it coordinates with the card, so here you go. lol. I wanted a tag to attach to this fun bee ice cube mold and this set was perfect to use! I also used Die-Namics Tag Builder Blueprints 5 dies.

The next two were for a patriotic and flags/pennants challenge. I used God Bless America and the paper is Pebbles- Americana.

Here I used Dount Worry for a Donut themed challenge. I made this a 3 1/2″ x 6 1/4″ card. The paper is Recollections- Girl Squad and I used Momenta Decorative Rectangle dies.

The inside…

The July Stamp of the Month is Summer Fruits… a fun, fruity new set just in time for summer! Here I used it for a sketch challenge. The paper is Pebbles- Tealightful.

My last pic today is also for a sketch challenge. I used Time Well Spent and Gear Up, pairing them with circle punches and the old Cuttlebug Clockworks embossing folder.

And HERE’s two more challenge cards that I already posted in case you missed them. Thanks for popping in and have a great day!

here we come a-caroling tag

Hello friends!  The current Ai Challenge is “Tag It!” and we are featuring the new Art Impressions Thanksgiving & Christmas Clear Sets! Here I used 4936- Christmas Wonder Set to create my tag.

caroling tag 1 diane zechman

I started with a 4×7 piece of kraft cardstock for the base and die cut the bottom edge with an old PaperTrey Ink die, Edgers #2. The top corners were cut with a trimmer after tracing half of a 1″ square cut diagonally.

Then I sponged red ink over a stencil onto a 3 3/4 x 4 1/4 white cardstock for the diagonal stripes. A heart was diecut in the striped layer and I adhered patterned paper behind.

These caroling critters are so sweet! I popped them up with foam dots. The lamppost and sentiment were added, along with some ribbons and trim. I finished it off with a red snowflake cut from Ai’s 4804- Snowflake Dies.

Old Bat wine tag

Hello friends and happy Monday!

Today I am on the Art Impressions blog with a project using one of my favorite Ai sets- 4784- Old Bat Set.  If you like cute Halloween images, this set is a must-have!  Here I used it to make a decorative gift tag on a bottle of wine for a friend.  (Did you also see Renee’s tag and wine cork pumpkin that she posted earlier?)

I am planning to surprise my friend who loves Halloween with this…she is always doing things for others so I think a little RAK is in order. 🙂

I started with a 2 1/4 x 7 3/4 piece of cardstock and scored it @ 2 1/4. The top corners were punched with a corner rounder after punching a 1 3/8″ hole in the center.  I colored her with Copics and popped her & the sentiment on foam dimensionals. I saved the circle that was punched from the top and used it to “spotlight” the glass in her hand.

I haven’t tried the wine yet, but I’ve heard it was good. At least it has a cute label!  lol.

Susan’s birthday tag

Morning!

I don’t have a card today…this time I made a tag.  My stampy friends and I have dinner together once a month to celebrate birthdays. This month we had two birthdays and our friend Susan’s was one of them. She likes to make tags and has blessed everyone this year with one so I thought it fitting to create one for her.

touches of texture tag diane zechman

I started with a large manila tag and sponged it with Distress Tea Dye, then stamped an old SU! background (By Definition) with the Tea Dye ink.

Then I cut a piece of 3 1/4 x 7 1/4 white cardstock (just winging it here, lol) and sponged it with SU! Certainly Celery and Coastal Cabana inks. It was stamped with those same inks, plus Lucky Limeade, and the SU! Touches of Texture stamp set.  Then I cut each side @ 1″, leaving the center strip 1 1/4″ wide.  The three strips were then cut lengthwise @ 1 1/4″ intervals.

After adhering the pieces to the base tag, I added some burlap tape (1″ wide, cut in half) and glitter ribbon.  It was finished off with Prima flowers, ribbon, a button, and adhesive pearls.

Have a great day!
