first things first

Hello! I have a few Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps projects that I haven’t shared yet this month. I used the following new products to create these 4 cards: Fall Breeze Stamp & Die Bundle (also available separately), Faith Wordfetti, Too, Fall Leaves Stencil, and Fall Background. I used the stencil to create different backgrounds on the first two cards and added some Wordfetti sentiments.

On the next two cards I used the fall leaf background stamp. I love it embossed in gold with gold paper to accent it!

Have a great day!

sweet treats

Good morning! Today I am sharing two projects using the new Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps Sweet Treats Stamp & Die Bundle (also available separately). The dies weren’t available when I made these cards so I fussy cut my samples. I am anxious to get the dies! First I made a birthday card and decorated the cake with one of the small images. I stamped the cake a second time onto a post-it note and cut out the center to create a mask.

My second project is a 6×6 recipe card. I started making the recipe cards in 2006…15 years ago! They are a great way to share recipes with friends (in a swap) and hand them down to our daughters. I paper pieced the apron from the background paper.

I hope you’ve been inspired. Have a great day!

Autumn Gnomes

Good morning! Today I am sharing a few cards using the new Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps set called Autumn Gnomes. For my first card, I stamped the cute stack of pumpkins and paired it with the same fall papers I used in my last post. I also found a scrap of ribbon that matched…it’s been forever since I added some ribbon!

For my next card, I used the cute gnome pushing a giant pumpkin. Then I added a few hand cut banners and rhinestones.

I couldn’t stop there! This is such a cute set and I wanted to color those flowers. I added the remaining scrap of the ribbon I found behind them.

Have a great day!

Autumn thanks

Good morning! It’s hard to believe we are already a few days into August! Have you checked out the great new release at SNSS? Today I am sharing two cards using the new Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps Fall Breeze Stamp & Die Bundle (also available separately). I didn’t have the dies when I made these cards so I fussy cut my samples but I am anxious to get them!

Both of the layouts on my cards were inspired by my good friend, Tina. She recently started giving some card inspiration challenges to local stamping buddies. For my first card, I die cut some triangles from pretty fall papers. The leaves and cup were colored with Copics and scattered in the margins.

My second card is CAS with a white layer on an embossed white base. This is a great way to make your images really pop!

Have a great day!

Texture Tiles 6

Good morning! Today I am sharing two cards using the new Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps Texture Tiles 6 and the fun, new Summer Vibes Stamp & Die Bundle (also available separately).

For my first card, I also used the Paint Splatters Stencil on the background with one of the Texture Tiles. The card front was scored at 1 1/4″ from the fold on the left and that section was glued together. I found some old fibers and trim in my stash to tie on. The flip flops were die cut and popped with foam tape.

I stamped a colorful background on my second card with another Texture Tile and then simply stamped the images on top in black ink.

Have a great day…stay cool!

Christmas in July sale!

Hello! There’s a Christmas in July SALE going on in the Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps shop! There’s 25% off all Christmas and Winter stamp sets and digital images until tomorrow, July 26. I have a few cards to share using some of my favorite Christmas sets… Christmas Pine and Old-Fashioned Christmas. First, I used a bit of masking and ink blending to create a CAS card.

Next, I used the pine images for a simple swag with a tag and a bit of gold washi tape strip.

For my last card, I stamped a few branches around the edges. Then I stamped the main image in red and embossed it to give it a little texture. I had an idea to punch some gold circles with a regular hole punch and add them to the card for a some-what bokah feel. Then I added a gold punched bow.

Have a great day!

thank you

Good morning! Today I am sharing two cards using the new Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps Stamp of the Month, Thank You. I also used the fun, new Summer Vibes Stamp & Die Bundle (also available separately).

For my first card, I cut part of the card front off diagonally, then added a strip of black to the edge. The patterned paper was added to the inside. I stamped the pineapple, inking it with various colors, and then masked it to add the splatters with the Paint Splatters Stencil. The cherries were stamped, die cut, and popped up with foam tape.

For my second card, I cut various colored strips of cardstock which are 1″ x 3″ and 1 1/4″ x 3″. Then I stamped several of the “thank you” words on each and layered them all onto a black strip and trimmed the sides. A popped up, die cut flower finished the card.

Have a great day…stay cool and dry!

shelter and hugs

Hello! Have you checked out the new SNSS release for July? Today I have some cards with the new Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps God of Comfort stamp set. It is in the Creative Worship line but can be used for bible journaling, card making, and many other creative ways. Here I made two cards and paired the images with some patterned papers that seemed to coordinate.

On my second card, I planned to just use the partial die cut circle with the image but then decided to “fill the rest in” with a piece die cut in black.

Have a great day and stay cool. It’s another hot one!

summer vibes

Good morning! I can’t believe that it’s July already, although it has been a scorcher here the past few days! The beginning of a new month means there’s a great new release at SNSS! Today I am sharing a few cards using the new Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps Summer Vibes Stamp & Die Bundle (also available separately). For my first card, I also used Fern Background and Scribble Flowers with matching Dies (also in a bundle). I started by stamping the ferns around the outside edges. Then I stamped a few images in the center and cut/layered a few images on top.

For my second card, I heat embossed the flower on the top & left of the card front with black embossing powder. Then I layered some additional flowers and the sentiment which were embossed with gold. A piece of gold washi tape was added to the bottom.

Have a great day!

bees, trees, & the sea

Hello! I have a few cards to share today using various Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps sets. First up, I made two CAS cards with the Sweet As Honey set. I simply masked the card bases, sponged yellow ink, and stamped the images. They were finished with a few scattered rhinestones.

Next I made a Father’s Day card and a birthday card with the Tender Thoughts stamp set. I also used For My Father and Birthday Wordfetti. I die cut the stamped backgrounds with the Dad Word Die and Birthday Word Die, then popped them up back in place with foam tape (the Eclipse Technique).

For the last cards, I blended some backgrounds with Oxide inks and offset my finished panels. I used The Sea and Bold Birthdays to create these two masculine cards.

Have a great week!
