featuring Korin’s stamps

Hello! Customer Appreciation month continues over at Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps and this week SNSS is spotlighting Korin’s stamp sets with a 25% off sale. This sale ends tomorrow! Also, don’t forget that this month you get to choose your own $11.95 value Stamp Of The Month with each $60 order!

The first card I am sharing today uses Korin’s Made New stamp set and matching Die set. I also used a sentiment from Nina’s Mason Jar Bouquet.

My next two cards are for pet sympathy. Here I used Puppy Love, Kitty Love, the Rise & Shine Stencil, and the Puffy Clouds Stencil. I masked each band of the rainbow on the first card to sponge the colors. For the second card, I didn’t mask them and sponged colors on from left to right.

Have a great day and go check out the SALE!

featuring Rebecca Rios

Good morning! It’s Customer Appreciation month at Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps and this week SNSS is spotlighting illustrator Rebecca Rios with a 25% off sale. But hurry…the sale on Rebecca’s stamp sets ends today! Also, don’t forget that this month you get to choose your own $11.95 value Stamp Of The Month with each $60 order!

I used one of my favorite sets by Rebecca, True Beauty, for my cards today. I started by stamping a background of flowers with black ink on a piece of cardstock. I cut a large panel from it for my first card and colored the “negative” space with a purple Copic marker. I liked the result and decided not to stamp or color in the flowers. I think layering the piece with a black & white stripe paper made it striking as it is!

I used the leftover strip from the background of my first card and stamped the flowers with purple to color them. Then I stamped an additional flower and cut it out. Instead of adding a separate sentiment, I stamped the “hello” right onto the flower and popped it up.

Have a great day and don’t forget to check out the SALE!

featuring Nina Brackett

Hello friends! Customer Appreciation month continues at Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps and this week SNSS is spotlighting illustrator Nina Brackett with a 25% off sale. Don’t delay…the sale on Nina’s stamps ends tomorrow! Also, don’t forget that this month you get to choose your own $11.95 value Stamp Of The Month with each $60 order!

Today I used two of Nina’s sets to make a few cards. On the first card I used her Mason Jar Bouquet set along with Korin’s I Like Big Cups. I love stamping the Mason Jar Bouquet images just as they are but this was fun to mask the large to-go cup and fill it with flowers!

My next two cards use Nina’s Delightful Daisies and I used a sentiment on the second card from Korin’s Be Encouraged 2 set. So many possibilities with these flowers! For the first card, I inked each of the flowers with 2 different ink cubes and lightly misted with water before stamping.

On my second card, I stamped the background with the smaller daisy image and then embossed the piece to give it some texture.

Have a great day and don’t forget to check out the SALE!

Also this month you get to choose your own $11.95 value Stamp Of The Month with each $60 order!
I used two sets she illustrated on my cards today. The first is called Flower Garden and I created some Mother’s Day cards with it. I also used a sentiment from the new Rose In Bloom Digital set. This is a 3×6 Mini Slimline card.
My second card was made with her Mer-mazing stamp set. This set has a sweet little mermaid and several other cute sea themed images to accompany her. I used the “keep swimming” sentiment…I think we all can relate to that one! lol. The background was created with Distress inks which were applied to acetate, spritzed with water, and “smooshed” onto the paper.
Have a great day and don’t forget to check out the SALE!

wedding or not…

Hello! I have a few more cards with two of the Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps wedding sets in this month’s release. I used the Mr. & Mrs. set, the coordinating Mr. & Mrs. Dies, and Engagement & Wedding Innies. I also used one of the new stencils this month…Script Stencil. Other sets used are Birthday WordfettiBookmarks & More Dies, and My Thoughts of You.

First, I have a CAS black & white wedding card. I did color a bit on the flowers.

On the inside, I included partial images of the tux & gown.

I also wanted to try using the Mr. & Mrs. set for some cards that are OTHER than wedding cards. The first one could be for a birthday or any other reason for celebrating…

I masked off the bottom of the dress for the second card and stamped/masked the flowers for a fun, flowery dress.

Have a great day!

just married

Hello! This month Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps has some great wedding sets in the new release. I used the Just Married set on two cards for today, along with the  Script Stencil and a previous set, Engagement & Wedding Innies.

For the background on the first card, I blended some Distress inks and then sponged a darker color of ink over top with the stencil. I added a piece of paper doily, some linen thread, and a few sequins. The cake and word are popped with foam tape. I used the bouquet image on the inside.

The bouquet was used again on my second card, this time as the focal image. I simply colored it in soft pinks and layered it over an embossed strip.

Have a great day!

Welcome to the Sweet ‘n Sassy April Release Hop. Hop along with us as we share our projects with the fabulous April release! Don’t forget to leave a comment for the designers linked below for a chance to be entered into our giveaway drawing for a $25 gift voucher to the Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps shop. Winner will be announced on the SNSS blog, Wednesday, April 28.

I am hopping today with two cards using the new Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps April Stamp set of The Month: Butterfly Background. I also used Sentimental Wordfetti, Made New, Made New Dies, Bookmarks & More Dies, and Faith Phrases. (Made New is also available in a Bundle.)

I cut 4 squares of colorful cardstock for the background of my first card. 2 corners on each were rounded after stamping them “tone on tone” with the same colors of ink. Each square is 1 15/16″ and the card base is 4 1/4″.

For the background of my second card, I used small ink cubes to ink up a section at a time, cleaning the stamp between each color. The MISTI is great for this technique. The green layer on the left was scored diagonally on the Scor-Pal.

Have a great day and thanks for hopping!

grunge elements

Hello! I have a couple of cards today using the new Grunge Elements 3 set in this month’s Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps release. I also used Faith Phrases and Bold Birthdays. I used a MISTI to stamp the card base and blue cardstock so they would line up when layered.

The MISTI was used again on this card to mask the numbers and stamp them in different colors. This set is full of fun elements! A purple gemstone accents the crown and gives a little pop of a different color.

Have a great day!

Mr. & Mrs.

Good morning! It’s the beginning of April already, which means there’s a great new release at SNSS! Today I am sharing a card using the new Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps Mr. & Mrs. set and the coordinating Mr. & Mrs. Dies. I also used one of the new stencils this month…Script Stencil.

I blended a soft background with some Distress inks and then applied Versamark ink over the stencil to heat emboss it with silver embossing powder. The dress and sentiment were also embossed with silver e.p.

I added some paper doily pieces to the corners and a few sparkly white enamel dots.

Have a great day!

recent cards

Good morning! Today I have a bunch of various cards to share. The first one is a 6×6 recipe card that I made for a swap with friends this week. I made this delicious cake for the first time this year and when I got the SU! Touch of Ink stamp set, I knew it would be perfect for the recipe card.

I searched for a hummingbird font to type the title. The patterned paper strip is from an old pack by Kaisercraft called Utopia. The hummingbird was inked with markers and then stamped. Colors used: SU! Summer Sun, Green Galore, Taken With Teal, Creamy Caramel, Berry Burst, Soft Seafoam, and Memento Tuxedo Black. I also used Gina Marie Stitched Circles and foam dimensionals. Directions are on the back…

So yummy!

The next two are Christmas cards and this one I actually cased and sent to a few friends in December. I am thinking about making a few more for next Christmas! SU! Nature’s Beauty, Subtle embossing folder, tag and leaf punches, plus Gina Marie Stitched Rectangles.

Lots of cuteness in the next one… Penny Black Snowy & dies, Sweet ‘n Sassy Christmas Wordfetti, Dee’s Distinctively- Large Snow Covered Stacker Tree, MFT Die-Namics Stitched Basic Edges 2, Kars Snowflake embossing folder. Copics- YR07, E93, C-0, G00, G02, G05.

I love how stamping allows us to customize cards for the recipient’s likes and interests. This was for a Dino loving girl who likes blue & purple. SU! Dino Days & Dies, Dinoroar dsp, Cuttlebug Red Tag Sale dies for the number. Colors- Old Olive, Pool Party, Highland Heather, Gorgeous Grape, Soft Suede, Island Indigo.

I made a few quick birthday cards with the SU! Pretty Perennials set & dies but I mailed several before taking a photo. This one also has a sentiment from Sweet ‘n Sassy Bold Birthdays.

Next, I used the SU! Pretty Perennials set again with some older dsp to make a Sliding Lock Fold Card. I used Tangerine Tango, Pool Party, Island Indigo, and Sycamore Street dsp. Punches- 1 1/4 and 1 1/2 circle, Classic Label, and Elegant Butterfly.

The butterfly circle slides to the left to open the card.

The next two cards use the SU! Sweet Strawberry set and Strawberry Builder punch. I love this set. The chocolate wrapped “strawberries” are chocolate hearts…a fun idea that I cased. I also used the SU! Basket Weave and Tasteful Textile embossing folders. Inks- Poppy Parade, Granny Apple Green, and Garden Green.

My last cards today were from a previous Paper Pumpkin kit for some milestone birthday cards.

Have a great weekend!
