grunge elements

Hello! I have a couple of cards today using the new Grunge Elements 3 set in this month’s Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps release. I also used Faith Phrases and Bold Birthdays. I used a MISTI to stamp the card base and blue cardstock so they would line up when layered.

The MISTI was used again on this card to mask the numbers and stamp them in different colors. This set is full of fun elements! A purple gemstone accents the crown and gives a little pop of a different color.

Have a great day!

Mr. & Mrs.

Good morning! It’s the beginning of April already, which means there’s a great new release at SNSS! Today I am sharing a card using the new Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps Mr. & Mrs. set and the coordinating Mr. & Mrs. Dies. I also used one of the new stencils this month…Script Stencil.

I blended a soft background with some Distress inks and then applied Versamark ink over the stencil to heat emboss it with silver embossing powder. The dress and sentiment were also embossed with silver e.p.

I added some paper doily pieces to the corners and a few sparkly white enamel dots.

Have a great day!

recent cards

Good morning! Today I have a bunch of various cards to share. The first one is a 6×6 recipe card that I made for a swap with friends this week. I made this delicious cake for the first time this year and when I got the SU! Touch of Ink stamp set, I knew it would be perfect for the recipe card.

I searched for a hummingbird font to type the title. The patterned paper strip is from an old pack by Kaisercraft called Utopia. The hummingbird was inked with markers and then stamped. Colors used: SU! Summer Sun, Green Galore, Taken With Teal, Creamy Caramel, Berry Burst, Soft Seafoam, and Memento Tuxedo Black. I also used Gina Marie Stitched Circles and foam dimensionals. Directions are on the back…

So yummy!

The next two are Christmas cards and this one I actually cased and sent to a few friends in December. I am thinking about making a few more for next Christmas! SU! Nature’s Beauty, Subtle embossing folder, tag and leaf punches, plus Gina Marie Stitched Rectangles.

Lots of cuteness in the next one… Penny Black Snowy & dies, Sweet ‘n Sassy Christmas Wordfetti, Dee’s Distinctively- Large Snow Covered Stacker Tree, MFT Die-Namics Stitched Basic Edges 2, Kars Snowflake embossing folder. Copics- YR07, E93, C-0, G00, G02, G05.

I love how stamping allows us to customize cards for the recipient’s likes and interests. This was for a Dino loving girl who likes blue & purple. SU! Dino Days & Dies, Dinoroar dsp, Cuttlebug Red Tag Sale dies for the number. Colors- Old Olive, Pool Party, Highland Heather, Gorgeous Grape, Soft Suede, Island Indigo.

I made a few quick birthday cards with the SU! Pretty Perennials set & dies but I mailed several before taking a photo. This one also has a sentiment from Sweet ‘n Sassy Bold Birthdays.

Next, I used the SU! Pretty Perennials set again with some older dsp to make a Sliding Lock Fold Card. I used Tangerine Tango, Pool Party, Island Indigo, and Sycamore Street dsp. Punches- 1 1/4 and 1 1/2 circle, Classic Label, and Elegant Butterfly.

The butterfly circle slides to the left to open the card.

The next two cards use the SU! Sweet Strawberry set and Strawberry Builder punch. I love this set. The chocolate wrapped “strawberries” are chocolate hearts…a fun idea that I cased. I also used the SU! Basket Weave and Tasteful Textile embossing folders. Inks- Poppy Parade, Granny Apple Green, and Garden Green.

My last cards today were from a previous Paper Pumpkin kit for some milestone birthday cards.

Have a great weekend!

clouds and rainbows

Hello! I have a couple of cards today using this month’s Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps release. First, I used the Puffy Clouds Stencil to create a birthday card. I also used the Happy Day stamp set. Distress Shaded Lilac and Tumbled Glass inks were sponged on the clouds for a CAS background.

The next two cards use Count Your Rainbows stamp set and the coordinating Count Your Rainbows Dies. I also used the SNSS Rise & Shine Stencil. There’s so many possibilities with this set!

Have a great day!

fern background

Good morning! Today I have 2 cards in which I used the March Stamp of the Month: Fern Background, along with Garden Whimsy and Happy Day. For the white border on my first card and the die cut center on the second one, I also used Bookmarks & More Dies.

The fern stamp makes such a pretty background and I love it in purple! I definitely need to make more purple cards! I embossed a little texture on the black layer and colored the flowers with Copic markers.

The second card turned out bright and fun. I blended a few colors of Distress ink and stamped the ferns on top. The panel was cut down and layered onto a horizontal gate-fold card. I used a die from Bookmarks & More Dies to cut a window in the center. (I lined it up, cut one side, then lined it back up and cut the other side.) A left-over strip from the background was adhered to the left side of the card. The dragonfly was stamped onto another piece of ink-blended cardstock. This time I added a bit of blue.

The card opened…I added the scrap pieces that were die cut from the front panel to the inside.

Have a great day!

garden whimsy

Welcome to the Sweet ‘n Sassy March Release Hop. Hop along with us as we share our projects with the fabulous March release! Don’t forget to leave a comment for the designers linked below for a chance to be entered into our giveaway drawing for a $25 gift voucher to the Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps shop. Winner will be announced on the SNSS blog, Wednesday, March 24.

I am hopping today with two cards using the new Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps set Garden Whimsy and on the first card I also used the Puffy Clouds Stencil. I love that SNSS is now carrying their own stencils!

For the background on my first card, I started with a piece of Distress Watercolor cardstock. I used regular distress inks and a piece of acetate to make the “splatters”, then sponged some pink Oxide ink over the cloud stencil. The butterfly was heat embossed with gold onto pink paper and pink ink was blended on the sides of the wings. I added some accents with a white pen.

I repeatedly stamped the ladybugs onto a red panel for my second card and then stamped again onto a white circle to layer over top of one. The sentiment was heat embossed with gold powder.

Have a great day and thanks for hopping!

texture tiles 11

Hello! Just popping in with 2 quick cards using the new Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps set Texture Tiles 11. I’ve also used Garden Whimsy and Happy Day.

For the first card, I inked the stamp with Distress Oxide Peacock Feathers. I then misted it lightly with water and stamped onto Distress Kraft Heavystock paper. I started with a 4 x 4 3/4 piece of Kraft Heavystock. As long as you make 4 cuts in whatever widths you choose, it should space out on the card evenly. My cut panels are 3/4″, 1 1/4″, 1/2″, 1 1/4″ and 1″.

On my second card, I stamped the flowers to make a simple black & white background. The flower and butterfly were stamped and cut from colored cardstock. The word was heat embossed with white powder but could also be simply stamped in black instead.

Have a great day!

blue crocs and rainbow socks

Good morning! It’s the beginning of the month, which means there’s a great new release at SNSS! Today I am sharing two cards using the new Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps sets called Gnome-one Like You and Texture Tiles 11. For my first card, I used the gnome watering a flower. How cute are those Crocs? I figured he needed equally cute socks to go with them. I blended some inks around the edges of the card and then stamped some flowers over top.

For my second card, I die cut a partial circle from some cute paper to accent the sitting gnome and pulled from the colors to color the image. I also stamped the sentiment in a matching color instead of my usual black. lol.

Have a great day!

50th anniversary

Recently a local couple celebrated their 50th anniversary…what an accomplishment! With the pandemic, they weren’t able to celebrate with friends so a surprise card shower was organized for them. Here’s the card I sent. I used the Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps Rose Banner set and the awesome Number Dies which were recently brought out of retirement! I love those dies and isn’t this stamp set a pretty one?

I kept the card monochromatic and embossed the image in gold, then die cut accessories in gold and white. It’s difficult to see the white embossed background.

Have a great day!

stamps- Sweet ‘n Sassy Rose Banner; paper- white, gold; ink- Versamark; accessories- MISTIGemini Jr., SNSS Number Dies, rhinestones, dimensionals, Wow gold embossing powder, Sizzix Bold Flora dies, SU! Dainty Diamonds embossing folder.

be a rainbow

Hello! I have a couple of CAS projects today using this month’s Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps release. I used the Good Morning and Texture Tiles 10 sets on the first two. I also used Alleluia Lilies on the rooster card. Texture Tiles 10 and Made New with matching Dies were used on the Memory-dex card.

I kept the CAS cards to 2 colors each. The words on the first one were stamped on the right and accented with rhinestones. The rooster on the second card was popped with dimensionals. I added some lines and dots with a black pen.

My third project is a Memory-dex card. The sentiment was printed with my computer…I just love this quote! I made a rainbow of ink with the rainbow stamp and the butterfly is attached in the body so it’s wings can pop up.

Have a great day!
