sweet treats

HAPPY NEW YEAR, my friends!  2011 came way too quickly, but it’s here nonetheless!  I hope it’s a good one for all of you!

I have another project to share today with AmyR’s new Critter sentiments set.  This time I used it with the bird from my Valentine Critters.

I made a little box, 2-4-6-8 style, with my new Scor-Pal.  Except this time I scored it at 2, 5, 7, and 10 inches.  The piece I started with measured 5 1/2 x 11.  And three of the sides were embossed which can’t be seen very well in the pic…sorry!

I was planning to stamp the sentiment on the white layer but then I realized that it fit perfectly inside the small cloud die.  Fun!

Do you have any New Year’s day traditions?  Every year since, well…forever…LOL… we have pork & sauerkraut on New Year’s day.  It’s supposed to bring good luck…so why mess with tradition, huh?  😉   Have a great start to the new year!

purr-fect day

Good morning!  Today I have a card that previews AmyR’s new sentiment set…Critter Sentiments.  I paired up two stamps in the set with my own kitty from Valentine Critters.

Short post today…but I’ll be back tomorrow with another project using these same sets.  Check out the other samples on the ATS blog and have a SAFE and HAPPY new year’s eve!

key to my heart

Today at All That Scraps we are starting the previews of the new sets for January.  Wow…that sounds strange, doesn’t it?  I can’t believe the holiday is over and it will soon be January!  Good things are around the corner, though, like this sweet new Key & Lock stamp set and a co-ordinating set of C.C. Cutter dies!

I made 2 cards and this first one is my favorite…

On the second card I made, I used the new C.C. Cutter die.  It has 3 keys and a lock and they are all attached so that they can easily be taken apart if desired.  I snapped my set apart and stored them in a small baggie.

Here’s a close up of the dies I used.  They look great with metallic cardstock.

Be sure to check out all the sneaks this week on the ATS blog!

sweet holiday treat

In the hustle and bustle of the holidays, it’s always nice to have one or two quick and easy holiday treats for last minute gifting.  A covered giant Hershey bar is one of those little treats that is always a no-fail project.  And they are fun to make…as long as you can hold off from eating them yourself!  LOL.

This one was made for my Secret Santa person who said she likes dark chocolate.  I’m pretty sure she doesn’t ever see my blog but it’s time for our reveal anyway.  I hope she enjoyed it!  I think I’m addicted to paper-piecing this bear!  He looks great that way and it makes for a super easy project.

I hope you are relaxing and having a stress free week!  Besides the busy time of year, we are having car problems.  Dead batteries and deer.  ugh.

a little Christmas note…

Hello friends!  Just popping in to share another card I made this week.  This time I used the new C.C. Designs Brrr Emma and the Polar Bear

Since Emma’s head was placed over a felt snowflake, the rest of her is popped up on dimensionals.  The polar bear just melts my ♥.

I hope you have a very productive (& relaxing!) weekend!

Teddy Emma

I’ve been short on time lately, so this will be a quick post.  But on the plus side…my shopping is done!  yay!

I made 2 more cards this past week with the sweet new Emma images from C.C. Designs.  Here is the first one and hopefully I’ll be able to post the other one tomorrow.  I love using snowy images and sentiments, so these were lots of fun!

Isn’t she so cute?  I just ♥ her in a Clean & Simple style card…really makes her stand out!

snowflake fairies

Just a quick post to show you another sneak peek going on today at All That Scraps.  Snowflake fairies!

There are 3 different fairies and they are each as cute as the others!

I applied some Stickles to the flake and it looks so pretty in real life.  Here’s a close up so you can see the sparkle.

Be sure to check out the other samples on the ATS blog.  And have a great weekend!

polar wishes

Hello all!  Today starts the new sneak peeks of the December stamps at All That Scraps!  And I’ve used the Sugarplums Polar Bear stamp on my card to share with you.  He’s a sweet one!

Instead of coloring him in, I wanted to stamp him on some fun snowy paper.  And after I dug in my Christmas and winter papers, I found these scraps of retired SU! designs.  There was just enough of the blue pattern to stamp the bear and make a coordinating background.  Love when things fall together like that!

I paired the bear with an AmyR sentiment and added some bling and Stickles to finish it off.

Be sure to check out all the sneak peeks on the ATS blog!  Thanks for stopping by!

a Christmas tag

No time for chit chat…just popping in quick to share a Christmas tag.  I really missed making tags and decided that I needed to make a few this year.  Here I used the Darby image from this month’s release at All That Scraps.  I think she’s adorable!

And here’s a closer view…

Have a great Tuesday!

stamps- Darby by C.C. Designs; paper- green, white, pink, Baja Breeze, red, dp- SU! Candy Cane Christmas; ink- Memento Black; accessories- Copics, EK Success heart, Snowflake and border punch, scallop circle punch, Stickles, ribbon, thread, button.

snowy Christmas wishes

Here’s another card I recently made with a different sheet of 12×12 patterned paper than I used in yesterday’s post.  Same layout.  Different papers and punches.

The patterned paper was cut into 4 x 3 inch pieces, so I was able to make 12 cards from one sheet.  The sentiments are from AmyR’s Merry & Bright set.  This time I punched a red heart and accented it with a punched snowflake.  Then I used another heart on the inside.  Some red Stickles was applied to the center of each snowflake.

I can’t believe it’s almost December already!  I am glad that I have a jump on my holiday cards and I hope I can finish them soon.  Do you have yours done?
