virtual stamping 9

Hello! Here’s a few more cards that I’ve made while stamping “virtually” with my friends. These were all stamped with Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps.

First, I have two more gnome cards using the new Winter Gnomes stamp set. These gnomes are so cute and fun to create with! I paired them with papers from American Crafts- Noel.

If you like sketches, I drew this one up…

My second gnome card was for another sketch challenge. I used the same paper pack, along with the Cuttlebug Ice Crystal die & embossing folder combo and the Martha Stewart Polar punch.

The next two cards use the new Encouraging Peonies stamp set. These beautiful flowers can be colored many ways or stamped simply like I’ve done here. This card was also for a sketch. The sentiment was cut with Sizzix Stacked Baroque dies and accented with gold thread (hard to see!). Also difficult to see in the photo are a few adhesive pearls.

Sympathy cards can be difficult to create…I kept this one CAS. The large flower was stamped onto a speckled cream base and the smaller one onto white cardstock, which was fussy cut and popped up with foam tape.

Refresh…something we all could use a little of right now, right? A gift card to a local coffee shop would go perfectly with this “Jesus & Java” card. I used the SNSS Fill Me Up set and matching dies. The coffee cup was paper pieced, popped up, and accented with a small epoxy heart sticker. This was for a challenge to use any beverage.

My last card today uses the Thrill of Hope stamp set. It was for a challenge to create this special cut & fold. My largest trimmer is 12″ so I had to cut the diagonal on the 8 1/2 x 11 cardstock by hand with a craft knife and ruler! But I was happy with the end result. I love the trees in the Gina K Red Velvet ink! I used Gina Marie Stitched Circles and Rectangles and the SU! Northern Flurry embossing folder.

EDIT: To answer some questions… I didn’t follow a tutorial,  I’m sure there’s one out there but I’m not sure what it is called. I just scored an 8 1/2 x 11 piece of cardstock at 4 1/4 on the short side and 5 1/2 on the long side. Then I used a ruler and craft knife to cut it diagonally to get the two card bases. For the music paper, just cut a layer… 4 x 5 1/4  or 4 1/8 x 5 3/8  diagonally.

The inside…

Thanks for popping in and have a great day!

Christmas Gnomes

Good morning! Today I have two cards to share using a Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps set from last month’s release called Christmas Gnomes. This set pairs perfectly with the Winter Gnomes in this month’s release!

For my first card, I had some fun with die-cutting circles and layering them with a banner flag. How cute is the gnome decorating the tree?

I used the same paper pad for my second card, along with a favorite sketch. The patterned paper strips are 1 x 3 and 1 x 4 1/4… a great way to use up scraps!

Have a great Thursday!

stamps- Sweet ‘n Sassy Christmas Gnomes; paper- white,  SU! Gumball Green, Doodlebug= Home For the Holidays; ink- Memento Tuxedo Black; accessories- MISTI, Copics, circle dies, Spellbinders Labels 21, Gina Marie glitter enamel dots, Stickles.

Winter Gnomes

Good morning! Today I have two cards to share using two brand new Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps sets called Winter Gnomes and My Thoughts of You. These gnomes are so cute and I love the sentiments!

For my first card, I layered my gnome over a circle, flag strip, and some snowflakes with the sentiment tucked in.

I used the same paper pack and colors on my second card but this time created a tall, or slimline, style. This layout is from the September 2020 Sheetload of Cards. The striped paper on both cards is glittery and I also added some Stickles to the images and flakes.

Have a great Sunday…enjoy your day!

stamps- Sweet ‘n Sassy Winter Gnomes and My Thoughts of You; paper- white,  red, Recollections- Noel; ink- Memento Tuxedo Black; accessories- MISTI, Copics, circle punch, Martha Stewart Polar & Looped Snowflake punches, Stickles.

virtual stamping 8

Hello! I have a few more cards today that I’ve made while stamping “virtually” with my friends. I am splitting them up again and first sharing a few I made with Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps. I’ll share the others soon.

Most of the cards here are holiday cards but the first one was made for a special someone turning one! This was also for a magical challenge (unicorns, fairies, etc.). I just searched the net for a free unicorn face image and printed the horn, ears, and eyes. The rest of the images were stamped with the Genuine Love set.

A monochromatic card for a sketch challenge using  Best Gift Ever and Scene Silhouettes: Jesus Is Born

Another card using  Best Gift Ever and Scene Silhouettes: Jesus Is Born but this time in some non-traditional colors. The background is an old piece I found in which I used the Smackin’ Acetate technique.

I used the super cute Cheerful Snowmen set on this card for a sketch and “all white” card challenges. The embossing folders are SU! Wrapped in Texture and Evergreen Forest. I also used Sizzix Crochet #2 dies. The snowman and flakes were stamped with SU! Smoky Slate ink (a friend’s idea!).

The next card was for a circles challenge and I just love the layout…I’ll be using it again! Stamp sets are SNSS Holiday Greetings and Scene Silhouettes: Jesus Is Born. I also used the SU! Wrapped in Texture embossing folders again.

And my last card today was for another sketch challenge. This one was very popular with the group, easy & fun! I’ve already used it again (will share that card next month). Again, I used the Holiday Greetings stamp set.

Thanks for popping in and have a great day!

best. gift. ever.

Good morning! I’m back today with two more Christmas cards, this time in more traditional colors. Here I used the new Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps set called Best Gift Ever which has some pretty great sentiments!

For my first card, I kept it mostly white and stamped the words in red to try to let them steal the show! The tiny star is from another new set…Scene Silhouettes: Jesus Is Born.

For my second card, I really wanted to use this sentiment. I was going to use an image from Scene Silhouettes: Jesus Is Born since they pair so well but decided to go a different route and piled on a bunch of presents. I think the sentiment here helps bring the focus on what the true gift really is.

Have a great Thursday!

stamps- Sweet ‘n Sassy Best Gift Ever and Scene Silhouettes: Jesus Is Born; paper- white, black, red, SU! Crumb Cake and Garden Green; ink- Memento Tuxedo Black, Gina K Cherry Red; accessories- MISTI, Copics, Momenta Intricate Nested Shapes, 2 1/2″ circle punch, Sizzix Tall Pines embossing folder, ribbon, foam dimensionals, Gina Marie Stitched Rectangles and Presents With Bows, rhinestones.

joyous holiday season

Welcome to the Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps September Release Hop! There’s another great release in the SNSS shop that we’ve been stamping with and we’re excited to share our projects with you! Hop along and leave a comment for the designers linked below and you might just be a lucky winner! One lucky comment from all the comments along the hop will win a $10 gift voucher to the Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps shop. Winner will be announced on the SNSS blog, Wednesday, September 30.

For today’s hop I made two cards using the Christmas Text background in two different ways. I also used Scene Silhouettes: Jesus Is Born on the first card and Holiday Greetings on the second one. On the first card I simply stamped the background in red. Then I stamped the silhouette scene in black over the bottom and added some gold washi tape and punched holly leaves.

For the second card, I stamped the background in brown and die cut some trees from it. Then I sponged the trees and added them to my card.

Have a great day and thanks for hopping!

vintage van

Good morning! Today I am sharing two cards using the brand new Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps set called Vintage Van. This set is a lot of fun to create with and has many possibilities…I already have several other ideas that I am anxious to try! My first two cards are for Christmas and when it comes to Christmas cards, I am all about making them easy and reproducible! I mail out quite a few! Here I used some non-traditional colors. The first is in mint and a darker green.

I decided to watercolor a rainbow of colors around my second van. Peace + vans just seem to need a rainbow and don’t we all just need a little bit of peace in our lives right now? I think I need to put a unicorn in the driver seat. Ha. This doesn’t quite look like what we expect in a Christmas card but hey…2020. Enough said. lol.

Have a great Thursday!

stamps- Sweet ‘n Sassy Vintage Van; paper- white, black, watercolor, SU! Mint Melody and Green Galore; ink- Memento Tuxedo Black, Versafine Black, SU! Mossy Meadow; accessories- MISTI, Copics, Momenta Intricate Nested Shapes, white pen, Jane Davenport watercolors, Gina Marie Wonky Stitched Squares, SU! Epoxy stickers.

Another month has gone by and I have a few more challenge cards to share. Not as many cards this time but here’s what I made. This first card was cased and I added the little kitty and bird. We all don’t like having to make a sympathy card but this one is easy and pretty quick to make when needed. I used SU! Grace’s Garden and Darice With Sympathy embossing folder.

For a sketch and masculine challenge, I used SU! Waterfront.

Next I made masculine and feminine versions of this card using the Paper Smooches Happy Hellos set. This was for keeping lots of white space and using your oldest papers. The papers on the card on the right were actually sticky-back! I wish papers were made like that now. lol.

Here’s a coffee card for a sketch challenge using SNSS Coffee TalkMarker Alpha, and Texture Tiles 5.

The last two cards were made for a sketch and fancy fold. I used the SNSS O Holy Night for both cards. I also used paper from MME-Joyful, a pre-printed card base (diagonal stripe), Gina Marie Scalloped Stitched Circles and Mosaic Triangle Edge Circles, SU! Modern Mosaic e.f., and the Martha Stewart Ribbon Bow punch.

Have a great weekend!

Christmas catch up

Hello! I have several Christmas cards and some scrapbook pages that I didn’t get to share so today I’ll post them all together here. The first two cards were actually made back in July for the Art Impressions new release for the summer trade show. The first card uses the 5193- Woodland Holiday Set. I also used the Hexagon Double Stitched Dies.

On my second card I used those same dies, along with 5192- Penguin Cheer Set. Both sets are so cute! Papers are from Doodlebug- home for the holidays. Sentiment is on Sizzix Ornate Labels.

I love, love, love the Simon Says Stamp Gnome dies! I will definitely be making more cards with those!

Here’s another ATC Coin I made for a swap. The Grinch stamp set is from Gina Marie Designs.

I wanted to add the extra sentiment but it wouldn’t quite fit so I added an extra scored circle to the back. Then I split the sentiment and added it to the inside.

I am not usually a scrapbooker but I made these pages for a friend so I made an extra set for myself! Love the lantern!

I used a Martha Stewart Looped Snowflake punch, retired Sweet ‘n Sassy Large Snowflake dies, Lawn Fawn Scripty Joy, Simon Says Stamp Kadyn Snowflake, Gina Marie Designs- Lantern, Pine Cone, Pine Needle Sprig set, and Ribbon Bow die set, Marianne Designs Sleigh die and tree die, Prima Forest Leaves dies, and SU! Detailed Deer Thinlits.

This starry night sky card was my shoebox project at an event in November. The stars are a Tim Holtz die. This card was CASED but I have no info where it’s from. Love the simplicity!

One of my New Year’s resolutions is to get a head start and make a few Christmas cards each month. We’ll see how that goes (I say it every year).

Have a great day!

peace & joy

Hello! It has been a month since I’ve shared some cards and just as long since I’ve done much crafting. Family comes first. Our new granddaughter spent 16 days in the hospital but is home now and slowly improving. I’m also slowly getting back to finding time for stamping but first I’m trying to get caught up on Christmas. It’s less than a week away!

I don’t have any cards to share with the Sweet ‘n Sassy December release but it’s a fabulous one! Be sure to check out the new sets and all the samples the design team has been making with them. I do, however, have a few things that I didn’t share from previous releases. The Poinsettia Greetings stamp set is great and don’t feel intimidated by coloring it. Both of my cards were stamped with no coloring involved so you can make a bunch of these for your holiday cards. Get a start on next year and make a few each month…you’ll be glad you did!

I stamped the large flower twice on patterned papers and heat embossed them with gold e.p. After cutting them out, I popped the middle pink layer with some foam dots and added some tiny gold rhinestones to the center.

I stamped the flower with red ink onto gray cardstock for the second card. The silver metallic layer with diecut “joy” was leftover from a project last year. It made a perfect layer for this card.

My next two projects use the Trust in the Lord stamp set. I kept this card CAS to let the words stand out.

I also made a Faithdex card and added a paper-pieced hedgie from Fur-ever Friends.

I’ll be back with some more catching up. Have a great day!

stamps- Sweet ‘n Sassy Poinsettia Greetings, Trust in the Lord, and Fur-ever Friends; paper- white, metallic red and silver, SU! Smoky Slate, Cherry Cobbler, Basic Grey Bittersweet, love Nicole- season’s greetings; ink- Memento Tuxedo Black, Archival Black, SU! Real Red; accessories- MISTI, gemstones, ribbon, felt snowflake, gold brad, twine, pop dots, paper doily, SU! Northern Flurry embossing folder, Stickles, paperclip, felt, leaf die.
