locker tags

Happy first day of Spring!  And we are celebrating with….drumroll please….MORE SNOW….ugh!  It looks like tomorrow the temps will be in the upper 40’s but colder again after that.  I neeeed some flowers.  ;^)

A few months ago my daughter asked if I could make some locker tags for her and a few friends at work.  They all said what colors and theme they liked.  I forgot to take a pic of the first one before I gave it to her friend so here it is hanging on the locker.  (They are nurses, hence the medical tape to hang it…lol!)

I cut squares of patterned paper for a quilted look on Jill’s.  She likes purple so I used an old pack of paper by Making Memories.  Nice purples are hard to find!

This was not for me…but I like Diane’s request for the color coral and a beachy theme!  Stamps are by Sweet ‘n Sassy…linked below.

Linda likes dogs and wanted orange & blue.  I thought this sentiment would be perfect…because a nursing shift can get pretty stressful!

clean and simple

I really like the CAS (clean & simple) style but it is sometimes difficult for me to achieve.  This card, however, came together easily and I love it!

The images and sentiments in this PTI Botanical Silhouettes set are so pretty… ♥ them!

I’m so blessed

…to have so many wonderful friends!

Last week was a tough one and to top it all off, our computer crashed.  We lost all our e-mails so if you sent me anything important, you might want to resend it.  LOL.  But a dear friend brightened my day to turn the whole week around…she sent me an extra set that she received of the PTI Botanical Silhouettes, a limited edition set that is earned from purchases throughout the year.  How awesome is that?!  I love it!

I am in need of several birthday cards this month and I wanted to make her a thank you card as well.  So I had some fun Tuesday night creating these…

I was inspired by this card that my friend, Cheryl, made.  I love the colors!  Tomorrow I will have another card to share that I made with this set.

stamps- PTI Botanical Silhouettes and Round & Round (butterfly); paper- SU! Groovy Guava, kraft, cream, brown, green, October Afternoon Ducks in a Row: Peek-A-Boo; ink- Distress Vintage Photo, SU! Square Lattice folder, button, thread, Martha Stewart Pinking Scallop punch, corner rounder, adhesive pearls.

friends, friends, wonderful friends…

I am blessed to have so many friends through this hobby!  And here’s a few samples that came about from those friendships.

One friend whom I only get to see once a year earned an extra PTI set and gave it to me!  How sweet was that?!  This is my first set from PaperTrey and it gave me the gentle push I needed to order the button set I’ve been eyeing for a long time.  lol.

Here’s the card I made to thank my friend…

And a few days ago some other friends invited me to join them when they got together to try some glass etching.  Ever since I did it on this jar, I have been wanting to etch a 9 x 13 cake pan.  So I made time to join them and they cut the design out on the Cricut for me.  (I still need to learn how to use that thing!)  I chose a font for my name and the bird was on the same cartridge.  I think it may have been Lyrical Letters??  Everything was cut from vinyl to stick onto the pan for a stencil.  The letters needed to be entered and cut out backwards so they show through the bottom in the right order & direction!  I thought it turned out pretty cute!

We are still in the midst of computer woes but I should be back tomorrow with a Stampavie sample.  And I also have a cute C.C. Designs project I can’t wait to share!  Hopefully the computer will cooperate so I can post it soon.

Take care!
