baby banners

Hello! I have some baby name banners to share today that I recently made. Click on each image to see a larger photo.

The first is for a baby boy, Carsten, and the shower/nursery theme is classic storybooks. I used some Momenta banner dies, the WeR Memory Keepers Alphabet Punch Board, and various character images that I printed off the internet. The backgrounds on each banner flag are old book pages from a Caps for Sale book that a friend was going to toss. The flags were strung onto twine and wooden beads were placed between each one.

The second banner is for a baby girl, Elora. I started with a flower and ribbon banner from Hobby Lobby and added the flags cut with the same set of dies (these were smaller). The pink layers were embossed with a Park Lane- Bloom embossing folder from JoAnn’s. Then I added some die-cut papers left over from a previous project and some punched flowers. I added some Stickles to the letters made with Altenew Bold Alphabet dies to make them sparkle and stand out.

Banners are fun to make and personalize for each recipient…try one!

2021 catch-up

Hello! Today I have several cards that I made throughout the year but never shared here (Five of them go back to April!). The first two were made with some Art Impressions Matchbook sets for two of my friends’ birthdays. I customized them to their hobbies and business. One friend likes to quilt as well as make cards. The other friend owns a stamp store, so I added her logo as a sign and made sure Fuzzy the cat was included! These fold up so tiny and cute.

Ai- 5317- MB Template Dies, 5318- MB Envelope Dies, 5321- MB Craft Room Set, 5323- MB Wall Accessories, and 5324- MB Cat Accessories.

Next I made an Accordion Lock Fold card. These are so fun! I used SU! Watercolor Wings, Butterfly Gala, Bold Butterfly Framelits, Butterfly Thinlits, and the sentiment is from A Touch of Ink. The pretty paper is The Paper Studio- Violet Bouquet. Ink colors- SU! Mauve Mist, Marvelous Magenta, and Eggplant Envy.

I LOVE the Anita Jeram stamps at Colorado Craft Company! I used the Gina Marie Scalloped Stitched Rectangles and Sizzix Falling Hearts dies with them to make an anniversary card.

Here I used Lawn Fawn’s Foursquare Backdrop: Portrait and Critter Concert with matching dies.

I played with a friend’s Gina K stencil set to make these pretty cards. Not sure what the name is!

Blue Iris card- here I used SU! Inspiring Iris and Heirloom Frames, SNSS Sentimental Mash-Up, and the tiny dots are Stamps by Judith. Paper- SU! Lost Lagoon and The Paper Studio- Eucalyptus. Ink- Soft Sky and Certainly Celery.

A few masculine cards with SU! Nature’s Beauty and Morning Meadow (sentiment), Stitched Nested Labels Dies, and Plaid Tidings dsp. I also used Paper Pizazz- Barnwood paper. Cardstock- Confetti Cream, Crumb Cake, and Early Espresso.

Next up is a pretty floral card using the SU! Pierced Blooms dies and Here’s A Card (sentiment). Colors- Night of Navy, Old Olive, Petal Pink, Rococco Rose, and Soft Seafoam.

Here’s a bunch of alternate cards I made with the April 2021 Paper Pumpkin kit.

Seahorse card- SU! Seaside Notions and Hero Arts Jellyfish Party Bold Prints. The background was done on Watercolor Distress Cardstock with Distress Wilted Violet and Peacock Feathers (Distress Smooch). Images were colored with Copics. I used Night of Navy, Island Indigo, Highland Heather, and Pool Party on the images stamped in color.

Lastly, I made this card for a friend who had a new grandbaby. SU! Treasures of Life and Scripty embossing folder, Sizzix Floral Frame 3-D Impresslits, and MFT Die-Namics Stitched Traditional Tags.

Thanks for popping in. Have a great week and wishes for a happy & healthy New Year!

oh baby

Good morning! I’m back with a few cards for this month’s Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps release. I have several cards today using the Oh Baby Stamp & Die Bundle (also sold separately) and the stamp of the month, Grunge Stripe Background. I also used the Starry Night Stencil and Stars Dies.

For my first card, I started with the Grunge Stripe Background and then turned it 90° and stamped it again to create a plaid. I used the Starry Night Stencil and Stars Dies to coordinate with the stars in the stamp set.

This next card is super fun! I made a bunch for some friends’ birthdays with a butterfly on the front and they loved them. I thought this sweet baby carriage would be super cute too! I found the directions for this fun fold card here.

To open this gate-fold style card, the sides are bent back and the carriage is attached to the center fold. So fun!

For my last card, I was playing around with stamping the onesie image onto several different scraps of patterned paper from the same pad. I had enough stamped and cut to make three baby girl mini slim cards with this simple layout!

Have a great day!

Happy Saturday! I’m back with a bunch of cards for various challenges with friends. For my first one I used up some flowers leftover from a previous project. These are from Altenew’s Flower Arrangement stamp set & matching dies. The sentiment is from SU! Peaceful Moments. I also used SU! Coastal Weave embossing folder and Die-Namics Stitched Basic Edges 2.

The second card uses Altenew’s Build-A-Flower: Snapdragon. This was for a sketch and favorite flower challenges. I’m not sure I really have a favorite flower but I do have fond memories of my grandmother’s snapdragons in her flower beds. I still can’t resist squeezing them!

I combined 4 different challenges for the next one…monochromatic, a sketch, using retired colors (I chose Baroque Burgundy), and using gingham. The flowers are from SU! Bloom With Hope.

The front of this card was for a sketch challenge and the inside was a special fold. The butterflies are SU! Butterfly Gala and the Butterfly Duet punch.

We were challenged to CASE a card by Jane Daniels from the UK. I loved her use of diamonds! Here’s my slightly different layout/colors/sentiment using SU! Positive Thoughts and the Birch Press Sending Sugar Script die.

Another special fold…this time using SU! Free As A Bird and Botanical Gardens dsp. I also used Sizzix Bold Flora dies.

The next two cards are for a challenge to pull out those old wheels. I chose the SU! Neighborhood Wheel. The sentiments are from a Taylored Expressions printable.

How long has it been since we did punch art? I found these two pieces in my stash from quite a while ago. The first was for punch art and sketch challenges. Remember Care Bears?

The second was for punch art and woven strips challenges. The sentiment is an old wood block by Amuse.

A friend said to dig out an old set…so I dug out SU! 2004 Rhyme Time and paired it with a Darice Numbers embossing folder.

The last card was for another sketch and also using wheels. This time I used the SU! Making Tracks wheel. The motorcycle is from SU! 2003 Born to Ride.

That’s it for this time…Have a great day!

baby shower (a wee bit late)

Ok, so I am a little behind in sharing these pics. I can’t believe 2 years have flown by since we had a baby shower for my daughter! It’s late, but in cleaning up my photo files, I came upon these again so here we go. And now I realize I never shared the wedding projects!

I’m sure you will figure out…we sorta had a theme. Mostly elephants & pink.  I made some of the decorations, like this sweet little cradle using a Sizzix Cradle Die, some chipboard covered with brown cardstock, lace, pearls, felt flowers, etc.

IMG_5176IMG_5177IMG_5178

I also made the banner with the baby’s name to hang at the shower. The banner flags were strung on tulle. I just hung it here for a photo.

IMG_5170IMG_5168IMG_5169

The table centerpieces were jars with peanuts and the favors were little elephant boxes filled with chocolates.

IMG_5234IMG_5171

Of course you need a cute cake! (I didn’t make that!)

IMG_5239

I tied ribbons on the handle for a silverware/plate caddy and made some simple water bottle labels.

Gifts for the princess!

It’s wonderful to look back on these photos and think about how blessed we are now with an almost 2 year old! God is so good!

Have a great day!

Silas name frame

Good morning! Here’s another project from 2015. I was asked to make a name frame for a baby gift…with a jungle theme.

It’s always fun to create a name frame. They turn out so different each time and can be personalized for most any theme! I used a whole bunch of sets here…SU! Do The Hula, Bodacious Bouquet, Array of Sunshine, Wild About You, Monkey Business, Tall Tales Alphabet, and Itty Bitty Backgrounds.

Have a great day!

Top 10 Ai for 2017

Hello friends and happy Monday!

This week on the Ai blog we are sharing our top 10 favorites from 2017.  Again, I have to say that I love ALL the hilarious and heart-warming Ai images I have worked with throughout the year.  It is so difficult to narrow down my favorites to only 10!  Here’s a few of my faves from this year. Click on each pic for more info!

I love the black & white with a pop of pink using the now retired Twins. You can pop just about any Ai image in this fun layout!

Yoga Yolanda reminds me of a dear friend who I miss working with! Paired with favorite colors, I love this gal!

Next up are two projects for the sweet little ones! I loved getting “more bang for my buck” by using the birthday cow from the Udderly Fantastic Set for a baby card!

And it was SO much fun using Little Sprout (also now retired) to make some cute onesies again!

The new Wiggle Wobbles this year are soooo much fun! This guy from Cowboy Wiggle Wobble just makes me smile!

Putting Glow-in-the-Dark paint on the Skeleton Wiggle Wobble brought him to a whole new dimension! So fun! Click on the pic to see the whole card.

I loved making this wine tag (Old Bat Set) as much as I loved giving it to a friend!

This was my first time trying wood slice ornaments and I was pretty happy with the results. Here I used Singing Snowmen PopCard and Nativity MTF. Although they are SO CUTE as intended, the interactive card sets are not limited to making interactive cards!

And last, but not least, I loved making this sweet Christmas tag using the Christmas Wonder Set.

I also wanted to choose one of the new Mouthfuls cards but I already chose my limit. They are one of my new favorites!!  I’ve only shared 3 of the cards I made so far, so watch for more of this fun new line!

I hope you’ve enjoyed all of our projects throughout the year on the Ai blog. Very soon we will share lots of fun cards in the new year! I’m looking forward to it!

Have a blessed Christmas and a great 2018!

little sprout onesies

Hello friends and happy Monday!

Today I am on the Art Impressions blog with a special project for your sweet little someone!  This week we are doing a product swap with Marvy and I’ve used a few of their markers, along with the sweet Ai 4317- Little Sprout set, to decorate some baby onesies.

I wanted to try the Marvy Deco Just Glitter Premium markers and I read on the package that they are ideal for fabrics.  Cool!  I remembered the baby t-shirts that I did about 7 years ago and wanted to try making them again, this time adding a bit of glitter!

I made sure to pre-wash the onesies and then stamped them with black ink.  You can find info on how I do the onesies in the tutorial I previously did on my blog.

I received some great skin tone markers so I colored the baby girl’s skin with Marvy Le Plume Permanent Markers, OR822- Pale Orange and R813- Blush Pink. The rest was colored with Copic markers and I finished by adding some purple glitter with the Marvy Deco Violet Just Glitter marker.

These little t-shirts also look great hanging on a line to decorate at a baby shower.  You can customize them to the theme and colors!

Be sure to check the Ai blog all week for more inspiration!

Hey, diddle, diddle

Hello friends and happy Monday!

Today I am on the Art Impressions blog with a card using the AiCS39 – Udderly Fantastic Set from the Funny Farm line.  The old Mother Goose nursery rhyme, “Hey, diddle, diddle,” popped in my mind when I looked at this cow the other day.  So, I paired it with the moon image from the 4784 – Old Bat Set and a sentiment from 4852 – Welcome Little One MTF.  Voila… a baby card!

cow over moon diane zechman

I added a little Clear Wink of Stella to the balloons, moon, and waistband of the tutu to add a bit of sparkle.  The clouds were popped up with dimensionals.

It’s fun to look at your stamps and think a bit outside of the box to find ways to stretch your collection and use them creatively.  Take a fresh look at your stamps and see how you can use them in different ways!

Have a great Monday and… happy stamping!

little man

Hello friends!  The current Ai Challenge is “Showered With Love” (baby or bridal)… a perfect time to pull out a cute Ai baby image!  Here I used the Art Impressions 4321- Little Man Set.

little man diane zechman

I used a quilt die for the background with three patterned papers…then mixed them up to create three different cards.  The MFT quilt die I used doesn’t seem to be in stock now where I purchased it but there is a similar MFT one.

The panel with the quilt was popped up with a piece of craft foam and the baby was also popped up with some foam tape.

Now it’s your turn to break out your favorite stamps, make a card, and join us in the “Showered With Love” Challenge!
