Today I have two cards to share using the Cheerful Snowmen and Winter Hugs stamp sets. For my first card, I punched a bunch of 1 1/2″ circles, then layered them onto a 3 3/4 x 5 panel and trimmed off the extra. I simply stamped the snowflake on each…love this color combo!

I LOVE the snowmen in this set but for my second card, I decided to use the little bird and layer him over an extra embossed piece of white cardstock laying in my pile. I also used some scraps of patterned paper and an extra sentiment strip so this came together rather quickly.

Be sure to play along with us and upload your projects for a chance to win!

Gnomie, it’s cold outside!

Good morning! Can you believe that December is here already? The cold weather is here too, so today I pulled out one of my favorite Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps images to make a few cards. This month, the theme at SNSS is Anything Goes! Do you love the gnome trend? Me too!

I used the Winter Gnomes image of the gnome with a mug and some wintery patterned papers. The layout is the same yet they are different. I don’t know which is my favorite.

Be sure to play along and upload your projects…we’d love to see what you’re creating!

Stamp & Swap projects

Today I’m sharing some projects that I made for our recent Stamp & Swap gathering, an all-day stamping event with friends. It’s always a fun time to get together with friends!

The first one is a card I made for my “shoebox”. Everyone prepared supplies for all of the attendees to make their project. I used the Spellbinders Sharyn Sowell Tree Picking die with some Paper Studio Christmas Plaid paper from Hobby Lobby to create a Double Z-Fold card. I also used the Cuttlebug Winter House embossing folder and the sentiment is from the retired Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps Wondrous Miracle.

The base of the card is 4 1/4 x 11 and the front strip is 7/8 x 11. Both were scored @ 2 3/4 and 5 1/2. The plaid layers are 2 1/2 x 4 and 4 x 5 1/4. The black is 2 1/2 x 4, and the white embossed piece is 2 3/8 x 3 7/8.

The red die cut was just a bit too long for the card front, so I cut the cat off the end and adhered it under the tree as I saw in another card sample (unknown).

I participated in 2 swaps…the first is the 6×6 recipe swap. For this one I used some old wood mounted Cambell’s kid and soup can stamps (1997 Stamp Affair- J1860, L1867) . The oval in the center was computer generated.

The other swap I participated in is the ATC Coin swap. Here I used Rubber Stampede Charlie Brown XMAS Tree, SNSS Christmas Wordfetti and Cheerful Snowmen (snowflakes).

My last project is a stamped note cube. These are not sticky notes, just a stack of paper glued on one side. I have some of these left from many years ago so I don’t have a source but you can search for blank note cube. The SU! Poinsettia Petals set was used with Real Red, Mossy Meadow, Old Olive, Tip Top Taupe, and Hello Honey inks. Some Wink of Stella was applied to the flowers. When finished, I wrapped it up in a cello bag.

Thanks for looking!

Stamp & Swap thank you cards

This past weekend we held our 6th annual Stamp & Swap event. Our friend, Lou Ann, does an awesome job heading it up and keeping us organized! It’s always a great day to spend crafting with friends. Each year we are blessed to have a few companies donate some of their products to our door prizes and “goodie bags”. We are SO grateful and want them to know how much they are appreciated. Here’s five cards that I made to send out to them. (Our friend Lisa also made one for Stampendous).

Art Impressions- I used 5002- Sloth-some Set and 5135- Hexagon Double Stitched Dies. This also fits the current Ai Challenge!

My Favorite Things- Gifts from Santa & Dies, Evergreen Die-Namics and Stitched Basic Edges 2.

Unity Stamp Company- Crafty Girl.

Lawn Fawn- Fairy Friends and Long Distance Hugs.

Clearly Besotted- Look For Rainbows. (The turtle here is on an Art Impressions Action Wobble!)

Many, many thanks to these companies for helping to make our get-together a success!

letter tiles

Good morning! I have two more projects to share with stamps and dies from this month’s Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps release. Here I used the Letter Tiles AlphaWonder of ChristmasChristmas WordfettiGeometric Background, and the re-released Christmas Ornament Tag Die Set.

The new Letter Tile Alpha is fun to create with and the team has used it to make some great bible journaling pages too! First I stamped some letters on the die cut ornament tags, masked them, and stamped/sponged the background.

Next, I stamped a few letters in a square to say “home”. The Geometric Background was masked and stamped for the roof. I made a tiny heart with a red Copic marker and drew some grass.

Have a great day!

antique ornaments

Hello! Today I am sharing a few cards using the Antique Ornaments set (sold in a bundle and separately). I also used Wonder of Christmas (also sold in a bundle and separately), Pinecone Background, and Spectacular Snowflakes.

There’s just something about antique ornaments that brings back memories and evokes feelings of nostalgia. I instantly remember the bubble lights that accompanied them! My cards today were created with those images and memories in mind. In fact, my first card was colored to resemble an antique Christmas card.

I threw out traditional colors in my second card and went with colorful, old-fashioned ornaments.

My last card started out monochromatic but then I decided to add some green branches to hang it from.

Have a great day!

geometric background

Good morning! Today I have a few projects to share with stamps and dies from the new Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps release. I used the Geometric Background on each, along with Wonder of Christmas (in a bundle and also sold separately), Antique Ornaments (also sold in a bundle and separately), and Christmas Wordfetti.

I quickly realized that the Geometric Background has endless possibilities! First I stamped it tone on tone onto the bottom of a hand cut tag. Then I added some greenery and a skate from Wonder of Christmas. The sentiment is from Christmas Wordfetti.

Next, I stamped the other skate image with light blue ink onto light blue cardstock. This time I colored a heart pattern on the Geometric Background and made the card in a red & blue color combo. The sentiment seemed to fit the heart pattern nicely.

I also wanted to make a colorful card with the background stamp. You can color this SO many different ways! I chose to color hexagons and paired it with one of the images from Antique Ornaments.

Have a great day!

Wonder of Christmas

Hello! Today I am sharing two cards using this month’s Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps release. SNSS has some beautiful new Christmas sets, among others. I am loving the skates in this new set called Wonder of Christmas (in a bundle and also sold separately) and the Letter Tiles Alpha is lots of fun too. I have a few more cards to share later with it. I also used the previously released Fern Fronds Stencil on both cards.

First, I used the stencil and stamps to create a background on some light blue cardstock. Then the skates were die cut and popped up with foam tape. I used a silver Sharpie marker on all of my skate blades to make them shiny.

For my second card, I started with a darker blue card base and stenciled again. The letter tiles were used to create my sentiment and the skate was popped up again.

Are you creating holiday cards? I have lots more to do! Have a great day!

Endless Love

Hello! Today I am sharing two last projects using this month’s Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps release. Here I used the Endless Love stamp set. On the first card I also used the Make Music Stencil. I kept this card CAS by stamping the flowers tone on tone for a background. Then I sponged the music notes with the stencil to fill in the empty spaces. A simple sentiment was added on a diagonal.

The next card has simple layers of coordinating patterned papers and the cross was paper pieced, then popped up with dimensional tape.

Have a great day!

woodland holiday wishes

Hello! I have another project to share today for the Art Impressions Tuesday blog post. This time I wanted to make a few holiday cards to start building up my pile to send out this Christmas. For these cards, I used 5193- Woodland Holiday Set and 5134- Banner Double Stitched Dies.

Isn’t this owl just the cutest? ♥ I couldn’t decide which way to turn the double-sided paper that I chose so I made the card both ways! lol. I love that the woodgrain side of this paper has the snow printed on it!

Be sure to check out the other cute images in this set. Thanks for popping in and have a great week!
