church family

Hello! I’m sharing two more cards for the Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps April release here. For these, I was focusing on the new Church Family stamp set. I received this set at the perfect time, as I was recently asked to make cards for our church’s card ministry. This set will surely get a lot of use!

Product links: Song Birds (also sold in a Bundle with Dies), Church Family (Stamp of The Month), His Wings Bundle (also sold separately), and Grunge Grid Stencil.

For the first card, I kept it CAS. I rounded one corner and stamped the bird image. Then I masked the bird and brushed ink over the stencil. The words were added (I love this sentiment), and I stamped & popped up another wing for a little dimension.

I picked some masculine colors for the second card and brushed the same stencil onto vanilla cardstock. Then I stamped two feathers onto the background and diecut/popped up a third feather. The “missing you” is another sentiment that’s perfect for these cards that I’m making.

I hope you have a blessed Easter!

more recent cards

Good morning! This is a very image heavy post today but I have quite a few cards to share. Thanks for sticking with me! I’ll try to keep the text short. 🙂

The first card uses the Art Impressions 5319- Birthday Set5317- MB Template Dies5318- MB Envelope Dies5323- MB Wall Accessories, and 5324- MB Cat Accessories. I made this one a few months ago and overlooked it in my files. These are so fun to create and fold up so tiny!

My second card was made in support of Ukraine and was given to someone who has family in shelter there. Praying for everyone in this horrible situation. I used SNSS Beautiful Bouquets Bundle, SNSS Script Background, Sunny Studio Frilly Frames- Lattice, and SU! Stitched So Sweetly dies.

A masculine birthday card using Sizzix Circuit embossing folder and MFT Block Happy Birthday die. The small sentiment is Sweet ‘n Sassy Birthday Wordfetti.

I made a set of CAS thank you cards for a friend who’s father passed away. SU! Punch Party, Trio of Tags Dies, and Evergreen Forest embossing folder.

The next two cards use SU! Forever Fern, The Paper Studio- Eucalyptus paper, MFT Stitched Basic Edges and Scalloped Stitched Basic Edges, and Sizzix Layered Ovals. Colors- Soft Sky, Mossy Meadow, Lost Lagoon, Certainly Celery, Blue Bayou, Soft Seafoam.

A special card for a birthday girl! MFT Friendly Unicorns & Dies, Color Blast Die, and Grassy Hills Die, Lawn Fawn Puffy Cloud Borders, Sweet ‘n Sassy Birthday Wordfetti and Puffy Clouds Stencil.

I made a cute gnome shadow box card with Lawn Fawn Shadow Box Dies, and MFT Hanging With My Gnomies.

Next is two cards with SU! Hand-Penned Petals and Hand-Penned Memories & More cards & envelopes. I also used the SU! Stitched So Sweetly Dies. On the first card I also used a sentiment from SU! Friendly Hello and SSS Stitched Circles Dies. On the second card I also used SU! Here’s A Card, SU! Brick & Mortar embossing folder, and Gina Marie Stitched Rectangles. It was semi-cased from Elizabeth Price (Seeing Inkspots).

Simple black & white versions of a card using word dies… Hero Arts- Hello There stamp & die set.

I went with blue and browns for my bee card… SU! Honeybee Home, SU! Hive embossing folder, and circle punches.

A few alternates from the SU! January 2022 Paper Pumpkin kit. The embossed hearts are from an old Cuttlebug Love Language embossing folder. These were scored to change them from a trifold card to a gatefold. I love shaped cards!

Altenew is known for their florals and the Simple Beauty set was used here to make some sympathy cards. The diecut edge is from MFT Stitched Scallop Basic Edges 2.

I am late getting a start on this year’s Christmas cards but I squeaked out a few with the TH Snarky Christmas Cat set.

Another masculine birthday card. These are harder for me! SU! Snowfront used here with some woodgrain paper.

And lastly, some diecut birthday cards using Sweet ‘n Sassy Sweet Treats Stamp & Die Bundle, Sizzix Happy Birthday Drop-Ins Card Dies, Lawn Fawn Double sided adhesive sheets, and a bunch of 1/2″ cardstock strips!

Thanks for scrolling this far and have a great day!

spread your wings

Hello, friends!  Today I have two cards for the Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps March release. I could feel spring trying to come today and I don’t know about you, but I am ready for butterflies and flowers! This new butterfly set is called Spread Your Wings. I also used a new Leaf Branch Stencil and the previously released Script Background.

Product links: Spread Your Wings Stamp & Die Bundle, Leaf Branch Stencil, and Script Background. Spread Your Wings is also available separately… Stamp set and Die Set.

I love the blue & purple color combo in my first card. I brushed the stencil with the same shade of blue and stamped the script in a light gray. The measurements of the panels are: white- 2 x 3 3/4 and two 1 x 3 3/4, purple mats- 2 1/8 x 3 7/8, and two 1 1/8 x 3 7/8.

My second card is CAS. I decided to make a rainbow of butterflies and popped them all up with foam dimensionals. It still looked like it needed a bit of something so I threw on a few scattered rhinestones.

Have a great day!

beautiful bouquets

Hello, friends!  Today I have two cards for the Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps‘ February release. This new set is called Beautiful Bouquets and it sure lives up to it’s name! This is a large set which includes five Bouquet images and several pretty sentiments to cover many occasions.

Product links: Beautiful Bouquets Stamp Set, Beautiful Bouquets Dies, Beautiful Bouquets Bundle, Hugs & Kisses Stencil.

When I finished coloring the first image, I wanted this large Bouquet to really stand out. I kept the card CAS with white-on-white layers. The slash-stitched layer is popped with foam tape.

Have you read the children’s book, Elmer? I have to say that is what I thought of when I stamped the second vase. LOL! It’s a cute story. I stuck with only three colors, though, for my “patchwork” kettle vase. 🙂 Most of the first layered panel got covered but I used the new Hugs & Kisses Stencil for those X’s and O’s in the background!

Have a great day!

knit together

Hello. I have two last cards today for the Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps‘ January release. I used the new set, Knit Together, to create some CAS cards. I also stamped a tiny heart from Count Your Rainbows on the first card. The knitting needles and yarn were stamped with two colors of ink that blended to get the color I wanted. This would be a perfect valentine for a knitter! XOXO

On my second card, I stamped the sentiment and heart of yarn together, using two ink cubes to mimic variegated yarn. The sentiment is from Cheerful Hexies.

Have a great day!

stamps- Sweet ‘n Sassy Knit Together, Count Your Rainbows, and Cheerful Hexies; paper- white, SU! Pool Party; ink- SU! Smoky Slate and Sahara Sand, Real Red, Coastal Cabana, Highland Heather; accessories- MISTIScor-PalGemini Jr..

bundle up, buttercup!

Today I have two cards to share using the new Sweater Weather set from the Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps January release. On the first card I also used the new Knit Stencil.

Isn’t the sentiment cute? If you aren’t familiar with it, “Buttercup” is an old-fashioned endearment meaning “sweetheart” or “dear”. Today I think it might mean “cutie”. I stamped the sweater on the same “stitched” background paper that was placed on the bottom. The top of the card base was stenciled with the knit stencil.

One of the design team, Andrea Wood, used a head from Girl Power with the sweater image so I thought it would be fun to try one with the scarf. I kept her head lower when I masked it so her face would be partly covered. I also selectively colored only the scarf.

You can see in the photos below how I stamped on the post-it note and cut out the top of the scarf to do the masking. I stamped the scarf first, then the head.

Have a great day…bundle up and stay warm!

stamps- Sweet ‘n Sassy Sweater Weather and Girl Power; paper- white, black, SU! Mauve Mist, Smoky Slate, Basic Gray and Crushed Curry, MFT- Keep Me in Stitches; ink- Memento Tuxedo Black, SU! Smoky Slate; accessories- MISTIScor-PalGemini Jr., SNSS Knit Stencil, Copics, foam tape, Gina Marie Stitched Rectangles and Scallop Stitched Rectangles, Taylored Expressions Stitched Mini Slim Stacklets, enamel dots, SU! adhesive backed snowflakes.

Today I have two cards to share using the Cheerful Snowmen and Winter Hugs stamp sets. For my first card, I punched a bunch of 1 1/2″ circles, then layered them onto a 3 3/4 x 5 panel and trimmed off the extra. I simply stamped the snowflake on each…love this color combo!

I LOVE the snowmen in this set but for my second card, I decided to use the little bird and layer him over an extra embossed piece of white cardstock laying in my pile. I also used some scraps of patterned paper and an extra sentiment strip so this came together rather quickly.

Here I used the Wildflowers 2 Die and Encouraging Thoughts. to make a mini slimline card. I die cut 3 of the flowers with watercolor paper and used a water brush with my inkpads to color them. The sentiment was heat embossed.

I also used the Wildflowers 2 Die on my second card, along with the Stamp of the Month, Script Sentiments, and Delightfully Delicate Background. I die cut a large circle from an A2 size piece of cardstock to create a mask and stamped the background over it.

letter tiles

Good morning! I have two more projects to share with stamps and dies from this month’s Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps release. Here I used the Letter Tiles AlphaWonder of ChristmasChristmas WordfettiGeometric Background, and the re-released Christmas Ornament Tag Die Set.

The new Letter Tile Alpha is fun to create with and the team has used it to make some great bible journaling pages too! First I stamped some letters on the die cut ornament tags, masked them, and stamped/sponged the background.

Next, I stamped a few letters in a square to say “home”. The Geometric Background was masked and stamped for the roof. I made a tiny heart with a red Copic marker and drew some grass.

Have a great day!
