sweet Katie

Today I’m sharing another card I made for the Stampavie booth at CHA.  Here I used the Sarah Kay Katie image.  The sentiment and tiny flower are from Tina Wenke’s Happy Birthday set.

I diecut a Sizzix File Folder for the card base.  The circle layers are from Spellbinders dies and the grass is by QuicKutz.  This was made to hang on a wall for display.  If I wanted to make it stand up, I would cut off the bottom of the doily die so it was flush with the bottom of the file folder base.

Hope you have a great weekend!

mackenzie frame

My daughter asked if I could help her make a name frame for a gift for a little girl.  We used the colors of her room and used an SU! princess to go with the theme.  My daughter colored the images with my Copics…didn’t she do good?  (Click on the photos for a larger pic).

Here’s a close up…

Hope you are having a great first week of the new year!

I was asked to make some name frames and was given colors and themes.  Here’s what I came up with…

under the rainbow

It has *still* been raining so much much here…I’m surprised we haven’t all floated away by now.  lol.  This afternoon the sun is starting to peek out though so I thought it would be fitting to share this Stampavie card I made.

I used the Gillian Roberts Under My Umbrella image…is it not sweet?!  ♥

I ran out of arches to color in my die-cut rainbow so carried the blue and violet over to her umbrella.  ;0)   The white panel was diecut and embossed.  Then I die-cut and embossed a green strip, tore the top edge and attached it over the white.  I also die-cut extra clouds and popped them up over the first ones.

Be sure to stop back on Friday for a lot more samples…the Stampavie DT will be joining the E-Team at Eclectic Paperie in their blog hop featuring Stampavie images.  How fun!

mini cream cheese danishes

I hope you had a great weekend!  We had a nice visit with family but I’m so glad we’re home.  It was raining when we left yesterday but the roads turned horrible along the way and it snowed like crazy here.  Enough of the white stuff…I’m sooo ready for Spring!

I’m just popping in with another project from last weekend’s shoebox swap.  This was my recipe card for the 6×6 recipe swap.  I borrowed the recipe from my friend, Tracy.  You can see her recipe here.  These are so easy to make and SO yummy!

I didn’t have any stamps to go with danishes so I just tried to go with “cute”.  lol.  I hope you have a great Monday.  Crossing fingers for some sunny, snow-free days soon!

stamps- Stampendous From The Kitchen; paper- pink, cream, Olive, textured Boysenberry, dp- Kaisercraft English Rose collection; ink- Rose Romance, Memento Black; accessories- Circle and Double Ended Tags Nestabilities, Sizzix Leaf, Copics, EK Success Fancy Photo Corner punch, Primas, eyelets, pearls, Tulip paper paint (very old-not sure if you can even buy this anymore).

UR GR8…celebrate!

Happy Monday!  If I say it loud enough, it might just be true, right?  lol.  Actually, it IS a great day because it’s a holiday and that means a day off.  *big grin*

Today I have two more of my Stampavie CHA cards to share.  We are in the midst of our “52 Days of CHA”, so be sure to check out the Stampavie blog every day for fresh & fun samples of the newly released images!

This first card was created with the Gillian Roberts Texting image.  I die cut some letters to make a “texting sentiment” and pieced some papers on the bottom to mimic the quilt in the image.  I wish we had cell phones and texting when I was young!  Back then we were tied closely to the phone with a cord.  You were lucky if you had a looong cord and it reached into a closet!  LOL.  Privacy was limited for sure.  And I think we all remember how important privacy was when we were a teen…LOL!

I think this girl has a crush.  ;^)

My second card today is a Mo Manning image called Simon.  Yay!  More Mo Manning!  And she has some great boy images this time.

Some headphones, a skateboard, and a cap…he’s all set!

Have a great Monday and thanks for stopping by!  ♥

Good morning!  Today I have a card that previews AmyR’s new sentiment set…Critter Sentiments.  I paired up two stamps in the set with my own kitty from Valentine Critters.

Short post today…but I’ll be back tomorrow with another project using these same sets.  Check out the other samples on the ATS blog and have a SAFE and HAPPY new year’s eve!

Teddy Emma

I’ve been short on time lately, so this will be a quick post.  But on the plus side…my shopping is done!  yay!

I made 2 more cards this past week with the sweet new Emma images from C.C. Designs.  Here is the first one and hopefully I’ll be able to post the other one tomorrow.  I love using snowy images and sentiments, so these were lots of fun!

Isn’t she so cute?  I just ♥ her in a Clean & Simple style card…really makes her stand out!

a cardinal box cover

Yep, I made another tissue box cover.  This one was part of my gift swap at the stamping event I went to on Saturday.

This went together very quick and easy since I already had the basic box put together and the layers were cut.  These pieces were used in the video tutorial I made.  Then I diecut a frame for the bird and sponged a background.  The branches were stamped with a retired SU! set, Peaceful Wishes and the cardinal was made with the current SU! 2 Step Bird punch.  I don’t know who came up with the cardinal design first, but I love it!  Just punch an extra wing for the top of it’s head.  Instead of punching a black piece for it’s head, though, I just punched a template and sponged the black area.  A black micro brad makes a perfect eye.

After I packed this up with some other small gifts, I realized that I should have added some pearls to the die-cut panel.  I think that would have dressed it up a little more.

There have been some great tissue covers uploaded on Splitcoast so I’m glad to hear you all are enjoying this tutorial!  Keep the samples coming!  You can see the ones uploaded by checking out the Tissue Box Cover gallery or by searching for the words “tissue box” (there are a few there that were not placed in the gallery).

stamps- Peaceful Wishes; paper- white, Artichoke, Riding Hood Red, Pumpkin; ink- River Rock, Artichoke, Memento Black; accessories- Labels 13 Nestabilities, Sizzix Snowflakes #3 folder, Cuttlebug Winter Borders, ribbon, Scor-Tape, SU! 2 Step Bird punch, black micro brad, button, thread.

another tissue box cover and video tutorial

Last month I shared a snowy tissue box cover that I made with a Stampavie image for a square box of tissues.  (Thanks for your comments…I’m glad you liked it!)  Soon after, I was asked to do a tutorial for SCS with the tissue box, so here’s another sample I came up with.  This one was made for a friend’s daughter’s wedding so I kept it pretty much white on white.  I love that look…so elegant!

I used 2 different embossing folders and added a bunch of pearls.  Just a tiny bit of black helped to make their initials stand out.

Here’s a view of the top.  It’s hard to see, but I added some Stickles to the edge of the die-cut opening and around the punched heart.  I also added Stickles to the initials on the front.

Below is the You Tube video tutorial, but be sure to check out the Splitcoast site for step by step pictures and directions.  You can see the tutorial herein the SCS resources.
